it also perception, think FUT or EA cannot do many things right
anymore and sometimes you have to be careful not thinking from
the half empty glass. I still can remember the game flaws in
FUT12 & especially FUT13.
And in the last months of FUT only die-hards are still playing.
So either you find a really good opponent ot one that is abusing
the game flaws.
My plan is to play less just before the release of FIFA15, start
all fresh in the head. I will no tplay online during the early
access because I know that in 90% of the cases I either am
paired to a die-hard (out of my league) or a game abusing kid.
So online play will kick in after the release of the disc. I
will take those two weeks for getting adjusted to the new
gameplay (as in every year). Play some offline stuff, earn some
packs/coins, etc.
Will mostly concentrate on bronse anyway, only to start playing
Golds after the first market crash....

In my opinion all issues with server performance, lag, match
making are all EA's doing.
The few games I have played on FUT World Cup have been a world
away from the issues on FUT14.
Quick match making, no lag, slick gameplay, no disconnects.
Way, way more reliable and stable.
EA have clearly diverted FUT resources to the WC game
completely.
Which frankly is a disgrace, when people have paid good money
(and some people, lots of it) for the original 14 game.

until yday, i was pretty confident to up the console to ps4, and
get fifa 15 ...
last nite, played some games, very decent opponents, playing
good footy (managed to get 5 draws in a row), hwr the lag
(whatever might be the reason i dont care, as EA always says its
p2p so they hv nothing to do with it) kills the joy, the button
delay, the lag its everywhere, the stupid first touch becomes
horrible when the lag kicks in. i constantly close the gaps,
switch defenders, and finally manage to tackle the ball, but
then either chiellini 91 makes the most stupid pass ever and
directly goes back to opp, or the ball bounces like a balloon
from his butt, shoulder etc and falls back to feet of opponent.
am not mentioning the DCs. the webapp is down, etc etc, so there
are many signs that bs will be there no matter what. and ea
comes up saying that, now you will see the marks on the pitch,
or the body shape, muscles of the players, their hair flipping
!!!! with fifa 15, the least of the least that i am interested
to see in the new game...
so i might very well sell the ps3 and take a hiatus ... fook
that ... why do i play console games, to have fun, relax a bit,
enjoy, everygame i am stressed about when the button delay would
kick in, let alone it would be there or not from the start ...
[/quote]
The lag last night was really bad. Played three games, and
somehow won all three but it was a battle. First game would
pause for 1-2 seconds every 10 seconds or so, and the second and
third were a bit stuttery and it was difficult to time standing
tackles properly. In the 3rd game I was 4-1 and he got it back
to 4-4 because he realised that good dribbling was hard to stop
(he was also having trouble against it too though). Did manage
to get a winner but it was annoying because all the games they
weren't spamming the usual so it spoiled potentially decent
games.
I think from memory, that the lag normally gets a bit more of an
issue at this time of year. They start testing (not very well
though) the next game and that impacts on this game.
I'll be getting it on PS3 and playing FUT, but again will not
spend a single penny more than the £30 odd pound the disc will
cost. Will look at PS4 towards Christmas or after perhaps.

I got into a discussion with Robb regarding lag, he says its p2p
so no EA issue, I say it is, because if its only was p2p, not so
many people would have lag on the same time around the globe on
the same console. and I thought that the lag was predictable,
around busy "market" days. christmas and toty, gameplay is
laggy, WC release, gameplay was laggy, when they turned off
webapp, connection was great. no way it's only p2p, he hasn;t
responded, so I doubt that they fix it so I doubt I will buy
fifa15

Problem us you are bith right ;D
I is PtoP problem but EA should make sure that you got a great
lag free connection. They should improve the pairing. Or they
should change the way the do it and get tid of this system. Both
if someone starts downloAding a movie during a game, there is
nothing EA could do....

Erm ... hmmm ... um ... maybe if the kid wants it.
For me. Nope. None of the above. Have moved on.

Yeah thats where im at too. Its a shame cos i would like a good
football game, just not fifa nor one made by EA. Im more
interested in different types of games now. Loved FUT in its
heyday, that first year i played i was totally addicted,
unfortunately those days are over now.

i still like the fact that you hv to build teams, collect cards
etc etc, all those aspects, what i am missing is, a decent
gaming on console (in terms of lag, connection issues etc), i
used to play console every nite, fps online, footy games, red
dead and many more.
even the early days of our marriage (my wife is very good at fps
btw, online she used to kick a ss) but nowadays, i dont have
time, work, baby, other things we have to do, so i manage to
play maybe 2-3 times per week, and its limited to 1-2 hours (and
i am working from home, if i move back to office that will be
even less). so i narrowed it, my gaming experience, down to fifa
solely, and when bs kicks in, i simply can not take it ...
