Agreed mate!
Also one thing ... the ref in this game has certainly been the
best (that I've watched) so far. Hope this does not jinx things
:P

yeah the refs seemed a bit iffy at first, certainly in Brazil
game and Mexico game last night, this one seems to have a firm
handle on things. Can you foresee any late goals?

Im not entirely convinced England deserve to lose this game, I
think they have played pretty well.

The ref is a Dutch guy, did the CL too
Why not bringing in striker for Sturidge? Tactical mistake from
the coach imp
But England deserves a point for sure

I wouldnt be too downhearted if i was England. Sterling was
great in 1st half but his crossing towards end there wasnt
great. Maybe he got tired. Barkley is a great player and i
thought he used the ball well when he came on. I think England
will qualify 2nd especially considering Uruguays result earlier,
just means they might need to beat Colombia in Rd 2 to progress,
but they could certainly do that. Everything to play for
still.

Sorry - missed these posts :/
Yeah - I picked a 2-1 Italy win & after the Balo goal I thought
there as more to come. Even the kid said he can see more goals
on the cards.
However, England were pretty poor trying to break down the
defence in those last 15 min. Was frustrating to see them
knocking it around, looking for a pass / run off the ball ...
all just for someone to take another long shot and screw it up.
Know it's the first game, but Italy do look like they have a
good chance to go all the way. Impressive stuff defensively,
great midfield and someone up front who can put them away.

Still I cannot believe that the couch did play with so many
midfielders in teh last 20 minutes, Italy was happy that england
had the ball there but there was no option going forward.
Anyway, I tought the English played pretty well. Thos long
passes of Gerrard are something else :o .
@ Italy: did look good indeed. As always they have a solid
squad. I think Chiellini will eb a liability at that spot, he is
not very agily and truns like a tank, Sterlin was already making
his life miserable. There are other wingers who can do that too.
And Pirlo is still amazing.

;D beuk, very funny...
well so far i did not correctly guess any of the games played,
checked the spreadsheet i filled in and nada : ) cameroon and
greece are shockingly bad, costa rica was quite fun to watch,
they might that surprise team pops up every tournament, uruguay
was disappointing. mexico and italy looked quite strong.
