Playing a guy right now who never uses X (or A) to pass, he just
presses through ball every time his players get it, soooo boring
and easy to defend against.

Won Division 2 with a record of 6-1-1, really should've been
6-0-0 but meh, what can you do, this is the mostly Croatian team
I rotated with the Swiss lads;

Best players were Rakitic, Mandzukic and Modric. IF Olic is a
really good finisher but apparent from that he feels quite 'meh'

Definitely, Div 5 people are very bad. On an 8-0-0 run (4 wins
for the title, 2 Cup wins, 2 offline games) without even trying.
Managed to walk into the net with the ball several times, my
less scoring match was a 3-2 that wasn't close at all, but saw
me playing with 10 from minute 5 after Gamberini was booked
after tripping with an attacker. Then went 2-0 up, got tied in 2
corners, managed to get the 3rd in the next play and from them
on was happy with playing it safe, he go no further shots on
target on the second half. Most of my matches are ending 5 or 6.
Tried to let the other guys score on the cup matches to avoid
disconnects (wanted the 13 Manager tasks for the Gold Pack) and
it was impossible, they would run into my players and ended DC
when I lost patience and hammered them. In the end, I had to
play 2 offline matches for completing the task.
Funny stuff, according to some EA mods, ELO isn't used on Cup
games. I say that's a big, steaming pile of bullshit. I never in
FUT 13 had such an easy cup matches. There was ages since I
played against starter pack teams (except those who just
disconnect), and I found one on my second Cup match today. The
first was a BSG hybrid with 75 chem that disconnected at 4-0 by
30'. That didn't happened in my other account, so I'm 100% sure
ELO is somehow involved in Cups too.
I'm afraid that this tenure is going to make me a much worse
player. Will have to throw some games from my first account to
not get rusty until I find some though competition at least :)

Have you managed to keep the CM in check?
I'm using Spartak's Romulo. Med/High and very low positioning,
should stay back... but other than playing Defensive or UD, he
doesn't. When he gets up some other CAM stay back, so I'm
usually with 5 vs counters, but that CAM isn't usually the best
defender, so it pisses me off. He plays like 433 CMs, but I have
got the trick for them (hint, use true, versatile CM with at
least 70 in every stat and you'll be fine defensively) and it
makes sense as in 433 they have loads of space to make runs. But
451 is much more congested on midfield, the CM shouldn't run
forward so much... yet he does.
So far, the formation looks good, passing lanes seem great, but
with the level of competition I'm facing, I feel like I could
play a 8-1-1 and still create chances, so still won't make
judgements.

yeah i think so, I've seen a lot of people mention that but its
never something thats bothered me. In my Serie A side i used to
use MOTM De Rossi and he was flawless, everywhere on the pitch
but since selling up i just use Naingollan now who seems to do
fine, I dont think i ever really feel overexposed using that
formation, my only gripe used to be creating chances some games
but think I've fine tuned the personnel so that isnt normally
the case when i use it nowadays. Kinda taken a break from
using the 451 tho, been largely using my 2 prem teams lately
(41212 and 442).
Wow, opposition does sound quiet weak down there. What made you
try it out in first place? just for a change of
scenery/different challenge?

Not at all. EA made me do it ;)
EA's shitty Customer Support, more like it. My main account
can't play Gold Cup matches. I can play any offline tourny and
online Bronze Cup fine (haven't tried Silver, but i'm sure I
could too), but on my last Gold Cup, I reached the final and
when tried to play, it gives me a "There was an error creating
your game session, please, try again". I have tried everything
suggested, deleting game files, changing squads, even bought an
entire new squad to play the game, but no way.
Only alternative I'm given is deleting my club, but I really
didn't fancy losing all my trophies and record and I do like to
play a Cup game every 3 Season matches, so I had to make a
secondary account and transfer coins and players to it. As I had
to start at Div5 anyway, I decided to keep Robben on my main one
and go with my Non Rares (I love playing with them so much) and
build a cheap 451 with lots of skillers to try the formations
and train my LT+Right Stick skills :)
I understand the appeal of crushing some newbs for a while...
you feel like a FIFA God. It's definitely all down to ELO,
however. I'm playing very bad players, even those with loaded
teams and lots of TOTS cards. This said, finding a team named
"Drippin with Sweat", 352, pace everywhere, TOTS galore and
crushing him 7-0 is definitely rewarding :). BUT, the lack of
competition would make me a worse player, so I expect to play
with both accounts or I'll be crushed once my new ELO rises to
my old levels.
