Good news on the custom tactics side. They've added the ability
to edit Instructions on the Squad.
EA actually adding functionality that is worthwhile! :o :o

if you ask me
sounds promising for most of them.
- Added players, kits, and badges for the two new MLS expansion
teams Orlando City and New York City FC to FIFA Ultimate Team -
that is good news actually.
- Updated FIFA Ultimate Team player item portraits for 18
high-profile players - dont know what that means
- Added ability to assign Player Instructions via the squad
screen in FIFA Ultimate Team - that is also good, so that i
wiould not spend time on the match screen and keep oppo waiting
- Gameplay improvements to defensive positioning and lob through
balls - no more kick off glitch?
- Using the “Compare Price” feature on in-form Players Items now
compares the item with other in-form versions instead of the
normal version. - very good one, now its easier to search on
IFs, get what you want into a concept team, press search in
market, then compare, very nice...

All sounds good. But this being EA, you just know that it'll
completely break something else. A return to the KSI from last
year perhaps?

PS3 even has the latency bar back. I wonder who decided it would
be a good idea to remove it in the first place?

Ah ... your comment raises something that happened yesterday.
One of the rage quits - we were 2-0 up and just been given a
penalty - he dashboarded.
He sent a message afterwards, stating that he cannot handle the
lag any more. There was no animosity towards us. He was in NZ,
we had green bars preceding the game & we could feel no lag
whatsoever. I mentioned that and he went off on his anti-EA
rant.
It highlighted that the connection is not the same for both. In
some way I'd assumed this was the case in the past, now it was
clear that one person was benefiting.
Yes - it could be that he had a low ping/connection speed due to
his broadband, who knows.

connection is a big issue. Bigger than I thought it would have
been. Maybe the 'handicap' discussion is fed by this too. The
moment your players feel sluggish and passing is off could be a
connection thing rather than a real programmed handicap/momentum
thing.

okkkkeyyy, first time playing after the patch, definitely game
is slower, played a few games to judge, and i can't sprint past
defenders, as i did with ease in the past weeks, that is due to
1) game is slowed down 2) the magic dribbling is gone 3) there
is quite an amount of clumsiness injected, players falling down,
team mates tackling each other (guess they wanted to
differentiate higher rated cards as opposed to OP non rare
cards, and as i do play with those non rares most of the time,
my midfield was on the ground in the last game : )
the passing also slowed down, so my ideal world of good passers
but slow players is a bit far away now, the ball barely reaches
to your teammate, guess that was an attempt to kill the ping
pong. that respect, defending is easier now (although i conceded
an KO from aubabiatch). not complaining but game is more of H2H
now, a new learning curve for me, adapting will take time
anybody experiencing similar stuff?

Hey OT. Only played a few games on Thurs night & was busy
work-wise so not able to really do much yesterday.
I do agree that it's slower & the one thing I noticed
immediately was that the passing was 'weak'. Had to really power
things up.
Overall the games were a bit clunky & not the most enjoyable.
