changed my mind, hate it now lol. was going to say i was only
kidding but juts lost a really stupid goal no fault of mine so
yeah i hate it.

Really liked it, still like it.. maybe I'm just getting used to
it. It's hard to explain, but with every day that goes past it
seems to be turning back into UT13.. or at least moving away
from how it played first day of release.

Actually had my 2nd thoughts of selling the disc last night.
On a 4 game losing streak in div 6. How humbling :-\ Every
game i play im desperate to get some points on board and then
ill dominate until conceding a cheap corner. Utterly helpless
to stop the resulting corner from being a goal. Turning into a
familiar and boring story.
Oh so when im behind i have little faith in turning the
situation round. I guess between the changed pace of the game
and the sloppy ball control creating clear cut chances seem a
chore. Seems like my goals in last few games only come from
defensive mistakes and Benteke headers from corners.
Maybe my formation is to blame but ive been changing it about
Was pretty annoyed going off last night. Dont feel as bad today
but if i dont see a huge improvement in my fortunes later ill be
tempted to sell up, already ::) :D
Maybe i just got worse at the game? Maybe ive just turned into
a div 6 player overnight? well between games, maybe i just need
to accept that im now the equivalent of FUT14 'Filler' just one
of those guys making up the numbers in the lower divs. Not
remotely interested in skill games to improve my game, so please
dont suggest that :) the buttons are all still roughly the same,
my skill level should prove that way too.

Hey Eric..
That's totally where I was at last night too. You saved me
posting :D (though here I am posting)
I have a poor quality side, and so was pinning my hopes on the
improved players I'll bring in over time causing the team to be
'better'.
Sound like I may be mistaken, as I am guessing your side is
markedly better than mine at present.
I too felt last night that all my goals were, shall we say,
'fortunate'.
On formations, I did switch right at the end from 4312 to 433(5)
in game, and started to think I noticed a difference in my
ability to attack.
Until then, I had just been penned in by each oppo I faced,
unable to launch any kind of meaningful attack.
In a nutshell, the game is more realistic in my opinion, in that
the players do not wear velcro boots, and play with a velcro
ball.
However, I ended last night, feeling as though playing it had
been hard work, just recovering from mistake after mistake, to
try and stop the oppo scoring.
Playing a game should not be hard work, it should be fun...
And don't get me started on defensive errors and player
switching. Serious bugs in there... either that or it's part of
the new added 'realism'.
Right now, I am just very, very thankful that they scrapped
formation cards... as playing around with that is my only hope
at the moment.
My eldest has hardly touched the game since it arrived. Totally
underwhelmed he is.
Jury still out though.
EDIT: Of course there is the small fact that a number of
opponents I faced last night played me off the park, which
cannot be overlooked. So they seem to have mastered it
somewhat, where I have not. One guy just played it like it was
FUT13.. ball sticking to foot, crisp accurate passing...
Perhaps it is me after all. #gettingold

haha hopnut, yeah sure sounds like we were in similar places
with FIFA last night. I found myself wondering that very same
thing at the end, am i too old for this now, have i lost my
ability to learn and master something new??? well i dont think
so, i am still of sound mind and body, maybe my joypad isnt
helping, nah just clutching at straws now.
If i wanted to be ultra-cynical i could point to my improved
players being source of the problem. But i dont really believe
that so i wont go there just yet. Not sure handicap exists in
div 6 anyway.
So yeah all in all ive found that feeling of I cant be effed
with this returning strongly.
Also Hop, was thinking maybe im just unlucky in which opponents
get drawn against me, perhaps all these guys beating me are
destined for the very top in the game and its just unfortunate i
keep getting drawn against them, but unfortunately i doubt thats
the case.

One game last night i made a great defensive tackle, the ball
breaks to De Bruyne who is facing his own bye-line, he makes
contact with the ball, kinda accidental contact and it rolled
out for a corner to my opponent.
with the score poised at 0-0 and in midst of a bad patch of form
i immediately feared the worse. And sure enough corner comes
in, boom 1-0. Raging.

i find the game quite an improvement compared to 13, there are
still annoying issues tho ... re fouls, the games i hv played
was card fest, yellows flying around, some red ... still GK not
getting RC although fouling as the last man, last nite it was
given YC to my opponent...
spent some time with bronzes, its really difficult with bronzes
... it also comes down to formation i guess, i can play
variations of 442, 4141, 41212 but had problems with 4231
classic with wingers ...
most annoying part for me , when i win the ball with the
defender and decide to make a turn, its so slow that the
opponent presses and get the ball back, its kind of a weak spot
i guess, everybody i played was comfortably losing the ball to
me then pressing and getting it back. being a CB not necessarily
should make you someone with Ball Control zero.
anyways, corners and wingplay is still there, sometimes i can
defend sometimes i cannot ... what has to be worked on for me is
actually dribbling to create chances or find open space ... last
nite played a dude, he was dribbling and running with the ball
and shooting as if he was playing 13, obviously lost to him ...

Not having any problems with seasons online. In division 3 now
and most of the games have been relatively relaxed and
enjoyable. Much preferring seasons this time round.
In a reversal from previous years I seem to have been coming up
against the cream of the crop in the gold cup. Every game was
hectic with high pressure and a dog fight. Took 8 tries and 2
formations changes to get the shitty gold pack and 2k.
Guess it's a mix of EASFC rating/ELO and pot luck.

The game has some improvements , but it also has A LOT of flaws
that you guys outline . It feels like this is simply a
stepping stone to next gen .
Personally , the game does not suit my style at all . Short
passing is so much harder to achieve than simple one or two
button press attacks . Headers are far more accurate than shots
and , at times , as powerful .
Still , we all play so it passes the time :)

If i play it tonight and dont enjoy it or find same issues that
i had last night, i think i might just sell the disc and trade
with coins ive got until the next-gen release comes out.
Had next to no trading mojo today as result of it too.
