what do you think so far

i hated it to start with, then switched back to pace all over
the pitch and miraculously the game seems better, although the
first touch is a joke.
got myself willian and hulk yesterday so just working out the
best way to use them

It seems like each game I play pace seems to be more and more
important each time. Stupid defender touches are really
annoying, just because you're a defender doesn't mean you can't
control a ball EA.
I do like it though, CBs like Samuel being viable this year is
HUGE, got a decent record now too. Just seemed like I was
playing FUT13 tonight, lots of guys just pinging L1 and triangle
balls over the top and hoping for the best.

I am happy with it. Personally, I think face should be a fairly
impactful factor BUT it should be everything. I agree that in
previous FIFA's pace had a big piece of the "why a player is
good" pie. This year, it is far closer to balanced. This seems
especially true with defenders running free at someone with a
ball. It just isn't as easy to get clean breakaway goals as it
was in FIFA13 and definitely not as easy as 12 (god it was easy
to score in 12 ... without the change to strength as a factor
and stuff like shirt tugging it was entirely too easy to score
break on net goals.)

Yeah - pretty much agree. One thing though, they've toned down
the fouls you got from previous ... HUGELY. I like this in some
ways, but now basic fouls are going unpunished & it can be
frustrating - been through on goal, fouled - no foul, no card,
nothing.
Probably the biggest gripe at the moment, is throw-ins. WTF have
they done here ??? Guy running half way down the pitch ...
retrieves the ball ... running all the way back ... what a time
waste!

Noticed that too Kiwi, why is every throw in a quick one?!
Especially when its down in the corner and there's no one to
throw it to >:(

One good thing they changed about the throw-in, though, is that
they seemed to eliminate the weak throw in that gets picked off
if a defender is between you and the guy you are throwing to.
Throw-ins were a pain last year because it always seemed like
you needed a long throw-in specialist to get it over any
defender crowding you.

Yeah Carlos - the concept of speeding up the game in that aspect
is stupid & like you say - worse when it's down in the corner
with no-one to throw it to.
@Clrx - yeah that was irritating last year. But, at least you
could throw it quickly down the line & hard too. Now, everything
is really lobbed to a player. Players do not need the long throw
trait to throw the ball in hard.
Overall ... 1/10 for throw-ins at this stage. It's pathetic.

yeah i like the new foul system, seems better. Play isnt as
stop-start and altho the more leniant ref is better you might
still concede odd goal where you are screaming for the foul.
The advantage system seems improved, that used to do my head in,
now ive not really had a problem with it. Same with offsides,
not noticed that and that irritated me, you know where the
attacker is in offside position and play gets stopped, when the
defender has got the ball and ready to start a break, not seen
that so far this year.
So true about the throw-ins Kiwi, where's the goddam ballboys
On the whole i think i prefer it, maybe even just for now
because its different. Not sure about the age old flaws yet
time will tell on those.

Of course - the kid mentioned that they're supposed to have
ballboys.
Well, I guess they do ... It just happens to be a fullback, a
left-winger ... ::)
