wclass, i would rather prefer to play that 14 game, with 13
keepers, and have goalless games.
yday i lost a game 6-4, conceded 3 corners, i myself scored 2
headers...

Well so far it sounds like my PS3 time will be spent on GTA and
career mode this year.

tend to disagree. It is true that good crosses are causing
goals. I think I have conceded and scored as much from corner
kicks as much as I did last year. So far I really like it. Or
beginning to like it. It is just a big chance compared to FUT13.
For me the fact that pace has been nerfed down is making sure I
like it much more.
having midfielders that control the ball is making the
difference. Players like Costa are pretty effective in keeping
the ball and giving that killer pass without being punsihed for
being relatively slow. Shirokov is my best player in almost
every game. Also like it that you can use slower CB's this year.
Was a bit worried that Maicon was nerfed down to 62 pace but he
is rock solid.

sure, omg the corners and crosses, no matter what i do i cant
clear the ball while defending, i think 70pct of the goals
conceded from cross/corners. seriously i press the clear button,
or header, the defence do not jump even. am i missing sth?
keepers are worse than 13... and is there sth like teammate
intelligence, there are times the midfield is just choked with
players, or maybe opponents using "high pressure"...

you are not missing anything . I would rather pace be OP than
heading . It makes for a ridiculous game where you have 5 +
goals from crosses . I can give you one tip that helped me
...switch to auto switching . with the game the way it is ,
manual switching is just too slow .
On goalkeepers . Having nerfed pace , i guess the fear was a
lack of goals . So now keepers basically palm far to many shots
in to the path of strikers . Makes for some pretty scrappy goals
.

Just get Dante and Naldo had no problems with clearing the ball,
my erk with the game is although pace has been toned down it
just seems no matter what you do the only players that work are
players with strength so forget everything else when building a
team.

I'm thinking it's sounding a bit like Fifa11 where crosses were
powerful and the best way of dealing with them was to stop them
coming in in the first place, and Fifa 12 where you couldn't
give a player any space within 25 yards because of the finesse.
Add to that stopping the lobbed through ball and it's going to
be essential to not make one single mistake while defending. Not
even a small one.
What formations are people using? It sounds like there will be
less 352 this year as the fullbacks will be important to
stopping crosses.

My record is pretty poor at 10-1-8 but i'm really enjoying it,
much better game play compared to last year, Diego Costa is
bullying the opposition players which didn't happen last year.
If players are quick but have poor balance/agility they got
knocked off the ball so easily, noticed this when most of my
opponents teams are full of small quick players who aren't as
useful as they'd have been last year.

I'd imagine the standard of player is probably higher now than
it will be come Friday. The second sentence is the bit that
pleases me. Expecting lots of teams built around this that would
be hard to face on FUT13 but will be failing badly next weekend.
I've always preferred the bigger stronger strikers like Traore,
Dzeko, Gomez, Arnatovic, Carroll, and similar even on 13 so
should be interesting to see what happens.

Players like Hulk and Ronaldo with pace and strength will easily
be the best players in the game this year. But i've heard a few
guys saying Drogba and Mario Gomez are really strong this year
which is good to hear.

most players know what they are doing, this will be different
when the disc comes out.
played three bronze games, no ENG pace so far. I got matched up
against nicely build teams, including players people wouldn't
use last year....

Hey mate - got him in the "manager task" pack. At that stage we
were wanting coins & thought we'd flog him off - only 15k then
... so kept him instead. Good choice in the end.
