Yeah - that does happen to me some times too. Need to learn to
glimpse only - it really does help some times.

enjoying it very much... totally revamped game, yes still not
perfect but definitely in the right direction... first of all,
am enjoying with playing slow but strong defenders where now
defence/heading aspect is equally important, also same in the
mf, veron is so much fun to use. now you can utilize guys with
high passing stats and really get the best out of them...

that goal is nothing special, because the highlight mechanism is
still stupid, hwr what is important in the position is that
Veron made the pass from behind the centre line (from my own
half) and it was a short ground pass (X on PS) ... you could
see where milito is getting that pass and then driving to
       goal...
there seems to be a lot of offsides (when i was defending), i do
believe that is a way EA trying to cut down lob pass
effectiveness, the defence now moving more wisely as a defensive
block, and playing offside trap on their own (AI).
it has flaws, still far better than prev ones, am very positive,
guess it will grow on me

Yeah BB - playing a game and got dumped out. Pretty poor - once
       again!
Also, battled to even get a game - tried 2/3 times in seasons. A
few times for a Single Match & finally 1 in the Cup.

you were good in FIFA13, you will automatically be good in
FIFA14". There are changes in the game and people need to work
harder at getting better. Sorry, know that sounds a little
       harsh, but it's a reality.

that I should use LT more - protect the ball/slow down
dribbling/etc. As it has been said already by a few people,
skill games do help to adjust to the new mechanics of the game.
       >
       > Are all changes for the better - absolutely not! There are
still "flaws" when comparing to RL football. Said it a long time
ago that if we wanted RL football in a game we would all be
massively disappointed because RL football is not that great,
       every minute of the game.

       > In terms of better players ... Rooney felt great / Hernanes is
superb / Hulk is very strong and shooting is spot-on / Willian
is smooth on the ball / Diamanti (83 CAM) smashes them. There's
       lots to be positive about.

Luckily I wasn't that good or entrenched in 13 to make the
       transition that difficult :)
I didn't mean the points as criticism so much, more observations
from the first half a dozen games. Having now got up to division
5 online I would say most of the points made still stand true
       for me.
I manually defend and don't use any form of
contain/press/jockey/, so the button delay and delay on player's
switching makes life a bit difficult; the animation where your
defenders freeze was there in 13 for me early on, then it
cleared up, now it seems to be back again, though it's not as
deadly due to pace being nerfed slightly.
This is my major gripe with the game: I've got decent speed
internet and wired connection yet lag/latency is still an issue.
If they tested the servers over long distances and saw how bad
the connection can be and did something about it, it would
       vastly improve the overall experience.
In terms of players I'm yet to use lower quality teams, but the
difference between, say, Schurrle or Willian and IF Reus is
negligible. In fact it would be interesting to blind-test
someone that had no idea of the market, let them use all three
for a run of games, and then let them make a pricing judgement
based on how they perform solely in-game. Obviously this is
nothing new, IFs have always been more about the promotion of
pack sales and placebo for the most part from my experience,
rather than being about allowing players to make extreme
       improvements to their teams.
However, I would say things like passing stats play much more of
a key role in 14 than they did in 13. A player like Diego seems
to be able to play to the potential of their stats far more than
       they did last time out.
As for being more realistic.. I think I said it earlier in this
thread but 14 is a big step in the right direction compared to
what we had; if they could just improve connectivity and make a
few minor tweaks it could be exceptional.

agree with the fact that the rest of the attributes, apart from
       pace, is equally important now...
lag actually makes this version of game much more difficult...
ball control already is very hard, becomes impossible when lag
       is there ...

Yeah Dutty - very, very valid point there re:
servers/latency/lag. The kid tried to play clubs (or virtual pro
or whatever it's called) - had a total of 9 players only (out of
the max 12 now). He was constantly complaining how poor it was.
He then made the comment that most of you FPS gamers say/have
said ... how the hell can EA not get this right when you can
host 16/24/32 players in various modes, playing the likes
       Battlefield.
Willian started very well for us, but has waned over the past
10-odd games. Will be interesting how Reus goes - great start so
far. Will see if he follows the same "stale" route. Certainly
hope not as the Bundes team gave us a 7-game unbeaten run this
evening (well - 2 draws with the Brazilian team, rest wins with
       the Bundes team).
Did you play much with NIF Reus? If so, how did he compare to
       his IF?

Like Otu and your boy said it's a killer, and really noticeable
with the way the game plays this time round. The latency bar
lies and I still get paired with people in the UAE and such. The
matchmaking is a joke. It's like they only test it in-house ???
Had 2 teams with contrasting fortunes, Brazilians hit the ground
running and Bundes took some time to warm up. Have you posted
your Bundes team Kiwi? Would be interested to see it.
Not tried NIF Reus. I only bought him and Aguero as investments
to cut down on trading time tbh, so will be swapping him out for
       the NIF soon enough.
I guess past experience hampers perspective, but Reus feels like
one of those players that gets an IF, has lovely stats, but the
stat boost somehow kills their runs/agility/acceleration/general
effectiveness. If I had the coins to test it at this point I
would, but down to about 50k atm after buying a couple of silver
       teams.

Just posted on the other thread. Kind of a "work-in-progress" as
I'm not keen on selling a few high-rated players now. Want the
market to rebound before we try out Gundogan, etc.
Although ... when I think about it, the next purchase is really
Hummels in defence - maybe Dante to replace Santana. Lastly will
       probably be Robben.
