A tip I'd give on people struggling to get to grips with
anything, use the skills games. They may seem like they're just
there for a laugh but they genuinely do help, my record was
0-1-2 before I tried out the dribbling, passing and shooting
ones. After completing them I won 4 out of my next 5 games and
felt far more comfortable in each match.

think this year sliding tackle is pretty important and usefull.
Last year I never used it as when you missed the ball there was
a big gap. Now with the delay in ball control you can stand up
in time.
Headers are OP as hell. Playing 442 with lot's of crosses and
they fly regularly.
increased my trade pile now to 80....

same coins boosts as last year, depending on EASFC level.
Useful: a 99 contract. If you really want to play 99 games with
a player. You can unlock some celebrations, extra teams, etc.
Actually more or less the same as last year

Ok ... day over for us. 17 games played, well 18 but the game
glitched on 1 - set all players back to 99 fitness but "lost"
the game. Anyhoo ... 33k in match coins for that.
One thing tho', due to a stupid decision in the past with the
family pack, I needed to "disconnect" my account from that -
even though Microsoft has supposed to disband that and give
everyone individual live accounts. Chatted to a support person -
all good, go for it and re-add it. Great - did that but can only
re-add after 5 days of being disconnected! ARGH!
So ... all our games have been offline :(. Not all bad as we are
playing on World Class & some games have been tough :o. Not sure
what it is, but the AI seems to be harder to read plays &
tackle. Not complaining at all - does give us a chance to try
things out a bit.
Scored a few crackers - one with Rooney - finesse shot with the
outside of boot & a nice amount of swerve dipped over the
keeper. Cavani too - smashed one to equalise for a draw for the
Div 9 title - it's the most difficult one (won 3.7k & a bronze
premium pack for Div 9). Got a "Club Items" pack for winning Div
10 - actually a few nice kits & Badges with the Emirates stadium
thrown in.
Definitely agree with Carlos re: skill games. They're not there
just for fun. The kid & I are having fun anyway as some of them
are quiet tough - near impossible. But, can definitely feel them
improving things. I was storming in with the defence - typical
way, get in close & quickly. However, I kept overshooting. Once
I tried the skill game it showed a little more where you need to
take the foot off the gas and try shadow them rather.
Next post ... players ...

Players ...
Attackers with strength = wow!!! Rooney has been fantastic & so
has IF Jo! Initially was thinking of selling him - well both -
but decided to try them both out & now would not want to sell
either! This is probably going to be a key stat (for us at
least) going forward.
Willian has been incredibly nippy & smooth with skill moves -
albeit slightly weak (61, but feels worse than that). One game
he literally got swatted off the ball way too easily for my
liking. Finesse - albeit overpowered at times, he's still
putting them away. And yes - one from 25-odd yards too - way too
easy with a stat of 74! Hope that changes.
Lamela - been really solid and done well. However - big miss on
the skills front! Still, great at LW with the left foot - think
tho' that HBA will be the preferred choice for BPL - all because
of them skillz.
Kagawa - must say that did not think he was going to be that
good. Some of the passing has been exemplary! Shooting - not so
much ;D. But assists galore from the man.
Even a bit of local talent there in the form of Winston Reid -
nice CB for his NR 75-rated card. Can't dribble to save his life
... so be weary of that!
---------------------------------------------------------
Overall ... I have no doubt today was clouded with the offline
experience. I certainly hope we get the same
return/response/feeling from them once we go back online.
FYI ... these are the 2 teams we played the majority of games
with today:

10 games for me, 9 online, just 1 win and 1 draw... skipped
demo, so first time with the new game...
playing with a 74 rated, gold silver bundes mix, no fancy
players... div 10...
i need a lot of time to adjust for the game, but 1 thing for
sure, omg the corners and crosses, no matter what i do i cant
clear the ball while defending, i think 70pct of the goals
conceded from cross/corners. seriously i press the clear button,
or header, the defence do not jump even. am i missing sth?
keepers are worse than 13... and is there sth like teammate
intelligence, there are times the midfield is just choked with
players, or maybe opponents using "high pressure"...
i still need time...

you are not missing anything . I would rather pace be OP than
heading . It makes for a ridiculous game where you have 5 +
goals from crosses . I can give you one tip that helped me
...switch to auto switching . with the game the way it is ,
manual switching is just too slow .
On goalkeepers . Having nerfed pace , i guess the fear was a
lack of goals . So now keepers basically palm far to many shots
in to the path of strikers . Makes for some pretty scrappy goals
.
