       UEFA Youth League 2024/25

       Draw has been made for this season's competition, the Youth
       equivalent of the UEFA Champions League. The IL is represented
       by Cliftonville this season. The competition format is typically
       convoluted, with the initial phases seeing 52 teams compete over
       three rounds of two-legged ties for ten last-32 places.
       In Round 1, Cliftonville have been drawn against BFC Daugavpils
       of Latvia, 1st leg away on September 18th, return leg on October
       2nd. Should they get through that, they would next play Sassuolo
       of Italy (eek!) in Round 2 on October 23rd and November 6th
       (first leg in Belfast).
       And if they were still somehow in the tournament after that,
       Round 3 would see them play whoever had emerged from Rounds 1
       and 2 from Real Betis (Spain) and Kairat (Kazakhstan) or
       Chisinau (Moldova).
       And if they should get through that, well, I'll leave it for you
       to follow that up on the UEFA website, a task which should
       shorten the winter:
