Disappointingly, Our Wee Weemin lost 3-0 to ROI in the AVIVA on
Saturday in the first round of Womens Nations League games.
I watched most of it on livestream and although ROI were the
better side and deserved to go in 1-0 at H-T, NI weren't being
completely outclassed. And as it happens, they came out strongly
in the second half and managed more attacking play, a horrible
mix-up between defender and gk on 70 mins gifted ROI a second
goal, which effectively meant game over. Didn't see the last few
minutes, when ROI added a third on 85 mins.
Overall can't complain, but there's still plenty for the new
manager to build upon, I think.
Meanwhile it's Albania up next, tomorrow night (Tues.26th) at
Seaview, k.o. 19.00.

I'm heading along to this with the kids tonight. Will be
interesting to see how they look under the new manager.

As EG said, they played well in Dublin and were not anywhere as
well beaten as the scoreline suggested. Playing well tonight
too. All over Albania and could really be a few goals up
already.

Got a 1-0 win but will need to be more clinical against better
opposition

Decent performance. Could easily have been 2 or 3 if we were a
bit more clinical.

Heartbreak in Hungary as we lose 3-2 in injury time. We had done
well to battle back to 2-2. We just couldn't see it out.
Question marks over the keeper at the end. She should have come
off her line to get the cross.
The starting line-up was strange for me, we played a weakened
team and it showed. Hungary were all over us on a really poor
pitch. Our passing was poor and we just couldn't get going. The
subs made the difference. Unfortunately we just couldn't hang on
for a precious point.

Goalkeeper had to come for that free kick, where was the defence
as well? Just a punt into the box and they score, defend like
that and you really don't deserve anything tbh, far too easy.

I just watched the goals there. She was at fault for all three.
