A quick look says there is a U19 Euro 23 qualifier on the 21st
March v France, you would fully expect Moore to be named in that
by Gérard unless Schofield has him fast tracked to the 21s which
as far as I can see don't have any games in March.

that's an unofficial U18 schoolboy tournament for N.i based
players still at school/full-time education from ages 16-18.
Hence, getting selected for this doesn't 'tie' him to us.
If he was selected for the next round of U19 qualifiers in
March, which are official UEFA games, that would mean more in
terms of him committing us.

[/quote]In one sense, it's probably a good thing that U-18 level
isn't officially recognised by FIFA for eligibility purposes.
For if/when he should play for us at, say, U-19 or U-21 level,
were he then to play for one of the ROI's equivalent teams, that
would be his one permitted switch used up, he'd be tied to them.
Whereas if he were to play an official game for ROI sometime
soon, he could still switch back to NI later if he chose to.
If the FAI were to be cute, they might let the IFA select him
first, then move in, albeit that he might just enjoy his NI
experience enough not to consider switching.

There's also the point to be considered that this is all
paper-talk and there's no substance to it.

here's the squad - those at Breda academy are probably attached
to Linfield, those at Larne High to Larne ans those at Ashfield
to Glentoran, as that's the 3 schools were those clubs run their
'educational academies' (if that's the right way to describe
them). Doesn't have the players clubs listed tho

routine from years back covering unusual Scottish names -
"Ghengis McCann" was one, "Napoleon Bon Accord Smith" was
another.
Worth capping him for that alone.

Diego and his family were at the friendly in Costa Rica in 2018,
was chatting to his mum outside the stadium. They've obviously
moved home since, he's playing regularly for Linfield Swifts
now.

Moore played 90 mins for Cliftonville on Saturday, wasn't in the
matchday squad for NI U18s 1-3 Australia on Monday, then played
90 mins for Cliftonville last night.
