Our Wee Weemin have done it again!
Won 1-0, with a (scrambled) goal by Sarah McFadden from a corner
       on 63 mins.
According to the Beeb, it was sold out - 3.3k?

       No it's not.
It's the first time the weemin have bate Italy. We still haven't
       bate them since 1958....

The women put in a wonderful performance last night and were
well worth the win. I thought Jackie Burns was excellent in
goals once again. It was very cold there last night - took me
ages to thaw out when I got home.
After the poor showing at the Euro's I thought the squad had hit
a ceiling, but this win last night shows that the sky's the
       limit!
Sarah McFadden looked like she had badly hurt her knee and had
to go off, but at the end of the game she was dancing round the
       pitch, so no lasting damage.

Managed to watch the 2nd half and it looked like a really
reinvigorated performance. McFadden was fantastic in all her
defensive duties, and deserved her goal. The goal came about
following a goof corner delivery by Vance.
And we really should have scored a 2nd, as Caitlin McGuinness
missed a sitter by taking too long when presented with a tap in.
One thing that was notable was much more long balls to turn the
opposition defence, and less scary moments of trying to pass out
from the back. Looked like Kenny Shiels adapted his tactics
       which is great to see

Agree with that, esp the bit about the long ball tactics. Lauren
Wade is a real speedster, and if she hadn't been out injured,
Simone Magill would have loved it too.
