One Saturday before the War - Glentoran 1914

Went to see this play in the Sanctuary Theatre (bottom of
Castlereagh Street, beside the Raven Social Club and opposite
       the Short Strand).
It's the play based on the book about the Glentoran team which
toured Germany/Hungary/Austria and won the Vienna Cup 2 weeks
before the assassination of Franz Ferdinand and WW1 kicked-off
and has a lot of additional elements to it which aren't in the
book. There was also a very good BBC NI documentary about the
story recently. The BBC piece was more about the football side
of it, this play, in addition to the football, also deals with
more of the background 'human stories'.
Went with a Bangor fan and a crues fan, who both really enjoyed
it as non glen-men. I'm not into going to the theatre and
watching plays etc, but if you have a chance and are interested
in either IL History or History in general I would thoroughly
recommend it, there's a lot of comedy in it and it would appeal
to people who aren't football fans such is its quality. Lasts
for over 2 hours and is £15 in and its a superb production by
what appears to be a very professional stage company working
       within a limited budget.

A journo at BBC Scotland Sport has picked up on this:

One minor point, Lindsay talks about William 'Billy' Emerson
going on "to join Clydebank, Arbroath and Dundee" - I think he
may be mistaking Emerson with some other member of the team:
