Yeah, Flaherty is a serious downgrade on Burns.

Rebecca McKenna was named in the squad but wasn't in the
matchday squad - presumably she's carrying an injury because any
time I've seen she's been excellent and should definitely start
ahead of Magee.
As alluded to above, if Jackie Burns misses a game for whatever
reason then we're in big trouble because Flaherty is awful.

I definitely think McKenna is the better player too. IIRC she
was dropped for the England game in place of Magee, which for me
was a really bad move. From what I've seen of Magee she's been
really poor, but it's hard to judge as she's been playing
against England and Belgium.

Was that the only practice game the ladies got for their Euro`s
preparations, or did i get this wrong?
If it was how on earth did they only manage to get one game
arranged, surely there were other teams available to play even
if they weren't of a great standard.

Notice that Jackie Burns is listed as without a club. The move
to the Swedish champions obviously didn't work out. Slightly
surprised that Kerry Beattie didn't make the squad, though she
didn't last long at Glasgow City. And feel sorry for Ciara
Watling, who already plays in Southampton. She always looks a
straightforward sort of player, not prone to taking part in
dodgy passing movements on the edge of her own penalty area.
