Sendings off in English football
It was nigh on impossible to get a red card prior to the 1980s
(and not just because they hadn't been invented ;D), but look
at the distribution of attacking vs defensive players and how
the whole thing must have swung from fighters to professional
foulers - if you pause at 1982, the top ten was almost
exclusively forwards !
