I think it's fair to say that Rachel enjoyed her goal - and well
she might, it was a cracking effort:

Great win. Think I read that they have a chance of making the
playoffs

Only seen the second half but the ladies dug in superbly. Great
result.

If the women were to qualify for Euro 2022 presumably the IFA
would receive a fairly substantial windfall with regards to
prize money?

"Fairly substantial" in terms of womens' football, maybe, but
I'd guess it's more "Michelle Mouse" in absolute terms. I can't
find UEFA's figures anywhere (not keen to publicise?), but
here's the FIFA equivalent:
"Whereas the French FA got $38m in prize money for its team’s
triumph at the 2018 World Cup, the US Soccer federation received
only $4m for winning the 2019 women’s competition. In total,
Fifa awarded $30m to the competing women’s teams and $400m to
the men."

Clearly UEFA will have less to spend than FIFA - and that's
before you take Covid into account. :(

Anyhow, the first of the two must-win games to make the
play-offs kicks off tonight at 7pm.
And both the game against Belarus and the match with the Faroes
on Tuesday - also a 7pm kick-off - will be streamed live on the
BBC Sport NI website and BBC iPlayer.

With the Finals being played in England in 2022, I'd really love
it, Kevin Keegan-style, if OWW made it through! [emoji106]

Game v Belarus tonight is on the BBC website, 7pm KO. Two wins
(this game and home v Faroes on Tuesday) would mean the ladies
finish 2nd in the group and earn a play-off due to better
head-to-head v Wales (by virtue of 2 away goals).
NI are without the keeper who started the last game, Jackie
Burns (suspended), and biggest goal threat Simone Magill
(injured).
The 2022 finals are in England, would be unbelievable if we
qualified.
EDIT: Clearly hadn't seen EG's posted when I basically repeated
it!

Are there any fans allowed at Seaview tonight?

Smacks of laziness for the IFA given Seaview has hosted IL games
with 300-400. I'm sure the team would appreciate the backing
which, let's be honest. is a decent crowd for them.
