Bosnia (A) Tue. 03/06/25 - Nations League

1-1 with sixteen minutes to go. NI are spending more time in the
Bosnian half, without any real conviction around the penalty
area. Bosnia look dangerous on the break.
Not sure why Furness is still on the bench.

Sorry, hadn't noticed this separate thread, and so just added to
comments on the previous Poland thread.
Anyhow, here's what 'davidbr' had to say on that thread:
"1-1 after 30 minutes. Magill scored a nice goal. But then we
conceded a horrendous equaliser with our defender (Mason, I
think) failing to make the most basic challenge which left the
Bosnian forward free to slot the ball home. It actually looked
like she pulled out of making a challenge?!"
To which I added:
"Yep, pulled out - I think she was worried about arriving late
and getting a Red card for denying a goalscoring opprtunity etc,
which tbf, she would have been.
Anyhow, game finished 1-1. From what I saw, once they'd settled
in, NI were the better team in the first half and really ought
to have gone in a goal up, but for the error above.
Second half, however, was very mediocre (both teams) and just
petered out. Oxtoby made 2 subs at H-T, plus another couple mid
way through, but none made any difference that I could see.
Tbf, it's a very young, inexperienced team, but they seem to me
to lack conviction, confidence and leadership. And if Oxtoby
continues to switch her team around, incl ignoring one or two
stalwarts, then she can have no excuse - it's up to her to
provide leadership."
