Poland 21.02.2025
Who all's goin till Poland Away?
It's in a 44,000 seater stadium in Gdansk. No word from the IFA
of course who still don't recognise it.
Will sort a pre and post match pub and the tram loyal till the
stadium for anyone coming.

Tanya Oxtoby has announced her squad for this month’s UEFA
Women’s Nations League games against Poland and Bosnia and
Herzegovina.
The Northern Ireland senior women’s team manager has made just
one change from the squad that faced Norway in the two-legged
UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 play-off late last year.
Nottingham Forest Women attacker Caragh Hamilton is back in the
panel after recovering from injury. She replaces her Forest
team-mate Casey Howe, who is still on the road to recovery after
suffering an injury in the run-up to the play-off matches
against the Norwegians.
A handful of players have moved to new clubs since Oxtoby’s
squad last met up.
Midfielder Megan Bell has switched to Nottingham Forest Women
from Rangers, while striker Kerry Beattie has gone to Aberdeen
Women on loan from Hearts.
Cliftonville Ladies duo Danielle Maxwell and Louise McDaniel
have both moved to Burnley Women, while Connie Scofield has
signed for Sheffield United Women on loan from London City
Lionesses.

Unless I'm missing something, ours is the only home nations
match not on iPlayer (or televised at all). All the matches are
away matches so that can't be a factor...

I found one poor quality feed on a streaming site, which lasted
about 5 minutes. As it's already 2-0 to Poland, I think I'll
give up the search.

Sounds like they're having a mare but the manager will say
they're still on a journey, maybe it's better it's not being
shown.

I was there and we outsang them for 95 minutes. The match was
live and free on the Polish YouTube stream. There's a bakebook
group which had it too.
We were done after 20 minutes with those two goals. GAWA loud at
proud at Poland away. Shame only 7 of us went, in a mental
44,000 seater.

Outclassed in the home match against Poland tonight a Seaview.
4-0 defeat. Poor performance by Jackie Burns.

A dreadful performance, seems to be a recurring theme with this
team and manager, if they don't beat Bosnia on Tuesday then some
serious questions need to be asked, I think they've stood still
or gone backwards since Shiels left.

TBH, what passes for international weemin's football in this
country is not unlike division 3E of the Amateur League. I don't
understand why people seriously expect anything better when our
amateurs (mostly) play professional / semi-professional outfits.

[/quote]Agree, but tbf, it's a bit like the Mens' team falling
away after losing top players post-2016 i.e. since the Womens
Euro's in 2022, we've lost the "spine" of the team - Hutton,
Nelson, Callaghan, Furness (for a bit, at least), with Oxtoby
not appearing to rate Demi Vance any more. Meaning we now have a
predominantly new, young team to replace them
And Poland are a "proper" team, unlike a few women's teams we've
faced recently. But watching last night (til I turned off after
the 4th goal went in), it seemed to me that this team seriously
lacks conviction i.e. the minute something goes wrong, they fall
apart.
And that reflects a lack of Leadership which, in the absence of
those previous senior players, has to come from Oxtoby.
And for all that she talks a good game, the more I see of her,
the more convinced I am that she just doesn't have it.
