😂😂 yeah she's not great although
knowing the IFA they probably gave her a 10 year contract.

Only lost 7-0 on aggregate to Norway
How many years are left on Oxtoby's contract?
Tbf, I was at the Euro Finals in Southampton in 2022,
when under Kenny Shiels we lost 4-1 to Norway, who were on a
wholly different level to NI. Indeed they've been World Cup
winners in their history and are currently ranked 16th in the
world. And we're seriously missing Rachel Furness' goals from
midfield, a bit like the men when Healy dried up.
That said, I still don't think Oxtoby is getting the best out of
what she has.
Oh well.

I think Sarah McFadden has been a bigger loss than Furness.
Always looked our best player in the games I watched that she
played in.
We've had about 5 core players from the Euro squad who have
either now retired or are past their best, and there hasn't been
the same level of talent coming through to replace them.
But having said that, I think Oxtoby has made mistakes with some
player selections, tactics, and by being very passive on the
touchlines. I think Kenny Shiels was very good at making sure
his players knew what he wanted (and didn't want) from them and
our ladies team probably need that level of direction

I know women's football is different from the men's but the
players smiling and taking pictures with the fans after getting
beat 4 nil at home in an important game just doesn't look right
to me - almost as if they are just happy to be involved. I don't
want them being booed off the pitch or anything and I understand
Norway are on a different level but just seems weird to me. But
maybe that's the way it should be and I am taking it all too
seriously
Noticed the players before the game in Oslo taking
selfies inside the stadium and group hugs and generally looking
in awe of the Ulleval when minds should really be focused on the
game. Seems to me a real lack of professionalism at the minute,
you're right, it's almost looks like a jolly girls outing and
that is reflected on the pitch. I don't think it's worked with
Tanya Oxtoby, they need someone in who could instil a bit of
discipline with a bit of an attacking threat, still can't
believe they got rid of Shiels, at least he had them playing and
they looked like a team.

Nice performance by Wales in the play-offs and no glorification
to terrorist organisations taking place afterwards in the
celebrations [emoji2]
Agree with all of that, though I would add that while
Shiels did a very good job overall, towards the end of his
tenure he tried to get them playing out from the back, in the
modern style. Which was fair enough against moderate sides, but
when up against better teams, the girls simply weren't good
enough.
This was most notable in the Euro Finals against Austria and
Norway, when they were played off the park. Whereas against
England, despite the eventual scoreline, they at least tried to
be less open, whether that was KS adjusting his tactics, or the
girls themselves taking charge?
Meanwhile, Oxtoby talks a good game, I'll give her that:
