For the first time in a long time, Aman was nervous. She was the
only one in his existence that ever had an effect on him, and
now wasn’t any different. When she finally returned, Aman’s
hands were resting on the warm cup, though he wasn’t drinking
for it. “My name is Aman.” He told her. “And yours?” He asked.
He wasn’t sure where this night would lead, but he felt an
excitement build within him that warmed his cold body.

A smile graced Lilly's lips as Aman asked for her name. She
recalled introducing herself when she first came to the table
but didn't fault him for not remembering. She was pretty
terrible with names herself. "my name is Lilly, what brings you
to this part of town? I haven't seen you around before," she
said assuming he was maybe a tourist. Tourists often found
themselves at the small diner when they wandered off the strip.
It was the majority of their customer base aside from regulars.
She bit the edge of her lip a little as she looked into the
man's eyes. What was it about him that made him seem so
familiar? She was sure she had never seen a man quite like him
before. Sitting across from him thankfully gave her the excuse
to stare at him in an attempt to figure out where she remembered
him from. The familiarity was just too strong for her to have
never seen him before. Maybe he was an actor? A singer? Someone
who was just generically famous? Oh, how she wished the answer
would just come to her.

Aman smiled back at the woman, watching as she seemed to fidget
across from him. He noticed the quirks that she’s always had,
and he loved it. “I come to Las Vegas for business from time to
time. Tonight..it was just too loud. Needed a more quiet place
to relax.” Aman explained. The vampire made casual conversation
with her for as long as he could, but knew she would be needing
to get back to work. As she left the table to check on a table,
Aman got up, left $500 dollars on the table along with his card
that simply had his name and phone number on it before he left
the diner.

Lilly found herself absolutely enthralled with their little
conversation. She found herself hanging on his every word. She
finally had to pull herself away to go check on her tables but
when she got back he was gone. All that was left was a massive
tip and a business card that had his name and number on it. She
was completely lost in her own head for the rest of her sift and
the next several that followed it. She internally struggled over
if she should try and call or text the man.
She kept telling herself no, that there was no way the man was
interested in her and yet every fiber of her being told her yes.
A good two weeks later she was still indecisive. She was
lounging on her couch and instead on a book in her hands she
held the card he had left her and just stared at it like she had
many nights before. She finally caved and pulled her phone out
and entered his number into her phone and sent him a text. 'Hey!
it is Lilly from the diner. I'm sure you don't remember me but I
was wondering what you were up to!' she typed and then sent to
him.
The moment the phone notified her it had sent she began to
panic. "Oh what have I done! How pathetic does that sound! 'I
don't know if you remember me..' that sounds horrible! He is
never going to text you back!" She lamented to herself as she
spread out on her couch in utter regret. Why was she so
awkward!

Aman waited as patiently as he could for her to contact him, and
it only took two days for him to instruct Maria to check in on
her. So for almost two weeks, Maria kept a watchful eye on
Lilly, though from a much further distance than before; no sense
in spooking the girl.
Finally, the day came and Aman nearly leapt with excitement. He
immediately replied to Lilly as soon as he got her message.
Of course I remember you, how could I forget? I'm at a jazz club
right now. You?

Lilly had her face burried in a pillow as she tried to quell
the feeling she had screwed up before her phone chimmed telling
her she had a new text. She nearly fell off the couch as she
scrambled to grab her phine that was procariously perched on the
arm of the couch across from her. She quickly unlocked her phone
and read over the message for a moment. She was in shock that he
had responded so quickly. Appadently he wasn't into the game of
nkt texting for so many days before responding like most guys
did. Or he just liked her a lot. That couldn't possibly be it
could it?
She was so average in comparison that hansome greek statue of a
man. It took her several minutes to finally text him back. 'That
sounds like fun, I am at home reading my life away lol.' she
texted back being a nervos wreck over the text in a similar
manner to the first. "Great, now he is going to think you are a
lame nerd..." she complained to herself.

Oh? What book? Aman responded. He was thrilled that Lilly seemed
to want to talk to him. There were times that it was difficult
to get her attention, though he had certainly gotten better at
it.
