       when will i realise

       I write for one
       dinner for two
       love for three
       euchre for four
       fingers for five
       eggs for six
       lucky for seven
       hunger for eight
       German for nine
       inches for ten
       synch for eleven
       a dozen for twelve
       and
       a baker for more
       it's a scramble in cyberspace
       what are they for
       i arrange and don't disagree
       paint has a season like everything
       and ours take shapes
       but mostly they mean
       zero
       nada
       zilch
