       Measuring current Lab 6

Hello, this is Terrance Fitzgerald. I am working on Lab 6 part 1
and was wondering how others are going about measuring current.
Would it be easier to try to measure the current directly or
just measure the voltage drop across the resistor and use ohm's
law? Has anyone had any luck with either method? When I tried
measuring current directly I am getting microamps and believe I
may be measuring improperly. I was setting up the connection in
series so that the DMM was the connection between the source
       voltage and the resistor.

Hi Terrence, this is Katy Wagner. I believe the lab instructions
say to find an alternate method. The method we are using is to
insert a 100-Ohm resistor between Vdd and the transistor and
measure the voltage across it. From there, we use Ohm's law to
calculate the current. Hope this helps!

Thanks! That method worked for me.

Thank you Katie! I was having the same issue and this worked for
       me too. 8)
