Lab 6, ID-VGS data of ALD1103 NMOS

During lab, when I was trying to measure the ID-VGS data, my DMM
readings seemed to bounce around. So, I measured the voltage
across the resistor and the DMM read ~0V until VGS=1V. Sometimes
There was a small voltage reading at VGS = 0.75V, but sometimes
it also decreased back to 0V. Around VGS=1-3V, the DMM readings
bounced around a lot (going up and down) but stayed in the mV
range. When VGS was bigger (4-10V), the DMM readings stabilized.
I used a very small resistor value (8.2 ohm). I'm wondering if
anyone else had this issue and if it's due to the small resistor
or something else?

I found that using a slightly higher R value of 100 Ohm fixed
most of those issues because the leakage current would be so
small as to effectively be 0.

Thank you for the idea. I think I was using too small of a
resistor and bad probes.
