Overpoch

3 OVERPOCH UPDATE[/shadow]****[/color][/glow][/center]
We will be updating our servers to
[glow=blue,2,300]overpoch[/glow] later this evening. In order to
play on our servers after the update you will need to download
the "@mas Weapons 1.5" mod. You can download the mod from arma 3
launcher (linked on homepage of website) or you can download it
from a direct link I will be posting on the website as well.
If you use Arma 3 launcher you will not have to worry about
setting launch parameters since the launcher will do it
automatically but if you download directly or use another
launcher you will need to add "@mas" to your launcher
parameters. After adding it your launch parameters should look
like this for our altis server...
[center]-mod=@Epoch;@Mas;[/center]
Adding this mod will bring over 50 new weapons, scopes,
attachments, etc to our server. All of the Arma 2 weapons and
some from overpoch and a bunch of brand new scopes. Some are a
little lower quality than we're used to but 99% of all the guns
and scopes are right on point sound and graphically with what
you're used to with Arma 3 epoch.
Because of it being a mod and Epoch devs locking their files,
only the new Arma 2 style loot and Ai missions will be spawning
the new guns since those are the only ones I can edit. Most of
the loot comes from those two things anyway so it shouldn't even
be noticeable. In the spirit of the whole thing we will be
adding a couple armed vehicles as well. There will be 4 total.
Two armed pickups and two armed helis. This will be
experimental. If it caused issues they will be removed but I
think it'll be fine. Since there's rocket launchers to counter
the helis and the gunner on the pickup and can easily be shot
off I don't think they will dominate the server at all. The
miniguns are the vehicles also don't damage base walls so they
won't be able to break anyones base or cause any destruction.
I hope you'll enjoy it. I know the new guns has me excited to
play again. I will post more specific instructions and send out
an official announcement this evening when it is all loaded in
and finished.

Official Overpoch install instructions

Method #1
[shadow=blue,left]A3 Launcher:[/shadow]
Step 1: Download Arma 3 Launcher from the bottom of our
website's homepage www.ossgaming.com
Step 2: (optional) If you did not use the A3 Launcher to install
Epoch you will need to rename your Epoch folder or redownload
epoch for the A3 Launcher to recognize it. Go to your Arma 3
Directory; (typically found at C:\\Program Files
(86)\Steam\Steam Apps\Common\Arma 3\@Epoch) You want to rename
your "@Epoch" folder to exactly this: [glow=red,2,300]@Epoch0252
[/glow]
Step 3: Open Arma 3 Launcher and download [shadow=red,left]Mas
weapon addon 1.5[/shadow]
Step 4: Once it is done downloading, use Arma 3 launcher to find
our server and join. Server address is 192.223.31.210:2312
Step 5(Optional) If you prefer launcher your game through steam
you will need to add the overpoch weapon addon to your launch
parameters. Open steam and right click Arma 3. Then select
properties and launch options. Copy and paste [
[shadow=blue,left]-mod=@Epoch0252;@mas15[/shadow] ] into the
space provided for launch options. Apply the changes and launch
Arma 3.
Method #2
[shadow=blue,left]Direct Download[/shadow]
Step 1: Download the "[glow=red,2,300]Overpoch addon[/glow]"
from the bottom of our homepage.
Step 2: Unzip the downloaded file and place the
[glow=red,2,300]@Mas[/glow] folder into your Arma 3 directory.
Same place as your @Epoch folder. (Typically: C:\\Program Files
(86)\Steam\Steam Apps\Common\Arma 3\@Mas)
Step 3: Launch Steam and right click on Arma 3. Select
properties then launch options. Do not edit your Epoch launch
parameters, make sure there is a ; at the end of it and
simply add @mas afterwards. Your launch parameters should look
something like this [glow=red,2,300]-mod=@Epoch;@Mas[/glow]

Helpful Hint:
Your launch parameters "-mod=@Epoch;@Mas" is the name of the
folders in your Arma 3 directory. If your Epoch folder is named
@Epoch0252 then your launch parameters should look like this:
-mod=@Epoch0252;@Mas; If your Overpoch folder is named
"Assface" then your launch parameters should look like this:
-mod=@Epoch0252;@Assface; If you're not sure what your launch
parameters should be then open your Arma 3 folder and look what
the names of your @ folders are.
-mod=@foldername;@foldername;@foldername; Make sure you separate
each one with a ;

Note:
I had a problem joining the server this evening when launching
from the arma 3 launcher. I would make into the lobby, load all
the way into the game and either get stuck at "loading
inventory" or make into the game and only see a black screen
with the status bar and welcome credits. Don't know why this is
but happened like 5 or 6 times in a row so I tried launching
right from steam and it worked fine.
This was the first time all day I had this issue so I'm not sure
if it's a common problem or not but I figured I post it here
just incase it's happening to anyone else. If you installed the
Mas Weapon addon through the A3 Launcher then make sure you
change your launch parameters in steam appropriately before
launching Arma through steam.
