The Mormons is not considered to be a christian community by The
Catholic Church, Orthodox Church or The Mekane Yesus Church.
So its widely known that it's not a Protestantic church, but an
       entirety different religion.
Maybe we should consider making a non-christian religions forum
       too?
Just an idea as I don't think it will be popular among our
protestant members to lump them together with other religions.
What do you think of this?

The Mormons I have been acquainted were all people of good
character. Unlike some of the famous Roman Catholic politicians
we have seen from Massachusetts, the Mormon Mr. Romney, as
governor of the state, seemed to be a decent family man, a
person of good morals devoted and faithful to his wife and
       children.

The idea of what the age of consent should be changes throughout
the ages. In the early 1800's 14 or 15 years old was not an
unreasonable age to get married. As much as I don't believe in
Mormonism I don't believe in supporting unjust criticisms in
order to make them look worse than they really are. The article
judges Joseph Smith according to today's socially accepted
standards not according to the contextually relevant period.
St Mary the Theotokos was betrothed to St. Joseph when she 14 or
       15. Was this sinful?
stanley123, I don't think the comments regarding Mormonism not
being Christian were meant to pass judgment on their morality as
a people, I think it was for the sake of proper categorization
       in the forum.

We don't know exactly, but we know it was shortly after she left
the temple. Girls who were dedicated to the temple were
required to leave at age 13. Because St Anna, and St Joakim had
already reposed by then, it was for this reason that the priests
found a man to take care of her, namely St Joseph. From the
point of view of the people and surrounding community at the
time, it would have been expected that they would eventually
marry and procreate, although they were not aware of St Mary's
       commitment to virginity.
