Sun is very active.

We have had four M-Class solar flares within the last three
hours. See the dynamic chart below.
HTML http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/xray_1m.html
Recapping the rapid-fire flares: There was an X3 on Oct.
24th (2140 UT), an X1 on Oct 25th (1709 UT), and an X2 on Oct.
22nd (1059 UT). All three of these explosions produced strong HF
radio blackouts over the dayside of Earth. In each case,
communications were disturbed over a wide area for approximately
one hour. Such blackouts may be noticed by amateur radio
operators, aviators, and mariners.
Usually, strong flares are acompanied by massive
CMEs--billion-ton clouds of electrified gas that billow away
from tthe blast site. So far, however, none of the eruptions
from AR2192 has produced a major CME. Without a series of CMEs
to rattle our planet's magnetic field, there have been no
geomagnetic storms nor any widespread auroras. Earth-effects
have been limited to radio blackouts
Given the knowledge we have on CME's it is surprising that we
haven't done more to protect our electrical and communications
grids. A massive interplanetary CME like we saw about 100 years
ago, could potentially wipe out our electrical grid for months.
Apparently, we have gone through a atypically long period of
solar inactivity, and so we should expect more in the coming
years. This is certainly a good argument for restructuring our
grid into smaller independent grids.

Excellent response.
We have just had two M-class solar flares:
~0240 UTC an approximate M3.5 hit us.
at 0332 UTC an M6.6 blasted us.
I would expect an X flare shortly and this might be
geo-effective.

Just in time to duck and cover ;D

Yes, stay indoor in your Faraday cage. ;D
The M class flare is now down to M1.1.
We have felt wiped out today with headaches.
What about you?

No headaches here, but then my fallout shelter and foil hat
provide me with ample protection.

But seriously, I don't typically feel the affects of solar
events. Fall and spring are my enemies - there wreak havoc on
my knees.
