        I'm a catechumen ?

In the past Sunday Divine Liturgy the priest referred my sister
and I as catechumens. We are the only new persons in the church.
So I guess I'm a catechumen. I will talk with priest anyway in
detail about my conversion. :) Your brother in Christ.

So if I understood you correctly, you are only inquiring
Orthodoxy without any firm commitment to become an Orthodox
Christian at this point yet the priest announced you to be a
       Catechumen?
You see THAT would've been troubling if it happened to me, I
still believe somewhat in papacy or at least I don't reject it
totally at this point and if I suddenly where referred to as
Catechumen I wouldn't have felt ready at all. Besides as
Catechumen I think you should have adopted to the basic views of
       the OC.
Catechumens is a person who intend to become Orthodox and both
the individual and the church deserves greater respect than to
       trowe it after one another.
Yes, talk it over with your priest so he knows how you feel and
       how ready you are.
It's better to wait a year more before converting than rushing
into something you don't believe in in the end of the day.
Good luck and may God be with you on your journey.

New people visiting with the intent to stay and me a member of
the church are catechumens. During this period, if you are not
an infant or below the age of reason (no official age) then you
are expected to gain a certain level knowledge about the faith.
This varies from church to church and parish to parish.
       May Christ guide you,

My sister and I are very interested in joining the Orthodox
Church. We are baptized Roman Catholics but we don't believe in
the added Roman Catholic dogmas. In the first visit at the
vespers service we informed the priest our intentions. In the
third visit we are referred as Catechumens. Sorry for my lack of
       info in my original post.
According to the church members the conversion process is long
about a year or maybe more.

Depending on which Orthodox communion you are joining, they may
require you to be re-chrismated (re-confirmed). This is
typically more common in the Eastern Orthodox churches, but not
       in the Oriental Orthodox churches.
This is because the two families of churches have different
rules for the acceptance of both laity and clergy from each
other. This goes back to the fifth century.
Originally, re-chrismation was only done if someone fell away
from (or left altogether) the church for an extended period of
       time and then came back.
