[ACCEPTED] John Goodsprings' Application

Steam name: Duncle Ane
Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:87273099
How long have you been in HL2RP in terms of years?: Year-Wise,
I've spent around 0.3 Years Playtime in it. I've been RPing in
Gmod for over 3 years
Are you familiar with this system? If not, are you able to
adjust accordingly?: I'm fairly familiar with the system, and I
can adjust in any way neccissary.
How familiar are you with MPF role play?: Very familiar. They
are a brutal force that keeps the peace of the City, enforcing
the rules that the Combine and UU have set. Their vocoders and
masks make them practically anonymous, thus enforcing a better
fear into the citizens and rebel forces, as it's a human doing
the enforcement and not an alien. They are peacekeepers and
policemen/women combined, except they do not care for the people
but instead care for the enforcement of the rules. They are
known to be brutal in most circumstances, due to a feeling of
authority over others and a sense of immunity. Most people join
the force for improved rations, the feeling of authority or to
genuinely try and help the combine with their rules and
enforcing them appropriately. They are also split up into
separate subdivisions, such as Helix (Medical Team), Union
(Patrol Team) and Grid (Technological Team). Each team has
specific duties, and are usually equipped with something related
to their division, such as a Medkit or a Wrench. In these
divisions, the ranks go from 05 to 01, then EpU (Elite
Protection Unit) and finally DvL (Division Leader). The RCT rank
is reserves for those MPF who have just become an MPF, meaning
they don't have an assigned division yet. This may sound like
they have no leader, however they follow orders from the highest
rank online at the time, meaning they are lead by anyone above
them.
Have you read the guide thoroughly? Are you capable of having
the guide open always for reference on what to do?: I have read
the guide as requested, and I am glad to keep it open whenever I
am on duty.
Do you understand that you cannot do anything that could
possibly be considered "rogue" without explicit authorization
from the Civi-pro faction leadership?: Yes. Rouge Activities
require Faction Leader Auths, as to keep the RP running
smoothly.
RP EXAMPLES
You're on patrol with another unit. Suddenly you get a radio
transmission from Dispatch announcing that the unit in your PT
is now labeled autonomous. What do you do?: I'd approach the
unit, telling him that he is labelled autonomous. I'd then
proceed to tie him up and bring him to the nexus. If he resists,
I'd hit him with my stunstick until he either complies or is
knocked out.
While patrolling alone, you are approached by a twitchy citizen.
The citizen keeps trying to get close to you. What do you do?: I
shove him away, telling him to get on the wall to check for any
contraband they may have. Due to their behaviour, they may be on
drugs, so I'd pat them down. If drugs were found, I'd take them
into the nexus and set them up for 2 Cycles of imprisonment, due
to being in possesion of and using narcotics, which are a
green-level contraband. I'd also award them an Ornery Point.
In Distribution Block 7, you are approached by a citizen armed
with a stunstick. He is running at you. What do you do?: I'd
prepare my foot and leg, ready to kick the citizen in the gut.
If successful, I'd wind the citizen from the kick and then
remove the stunstick from the citizen's possesion. For a
brutality factor, I'd beat the citizen with their own stunstick,
before tying them up and taking them to the nexus and
imprisoning them for 6 Cycles. I'd award them 4 Ornery points
for assaulting a unit, and 6 Ornery points for carrying
Red-Level Contraband.
You and another unit are patrolling near Residential Block One
when a malignant discharges at you, wounding your counterpart to
some extent. What do you do?: I'd quickly unholster my USP,
provided I'd have one in that case, and immediately take shots
on the malignant. If successful in killing the malignant, I'd
quickly call for a Helix to try and heal my counterpart. If
there were no Helixes on, I'd take my counterpart to the nearest
Medical Source to heal him/her up there.
The unit who was shot in the most recent gunfight is wounded
badly and obviously will require a great amount of medical
attention to save his life. What do you do?: I'd call for a
Helix to try and heal the unit, keeping the person alive for as
long as they can in-order to let them heal. If a Helix would be
unavaliable, then I'd have no choice but to quickly mercy-kill
the unit with one well-placed shot to their head.
You are on patrol and you hear a fistfight in one of the
residential blocks. Dispatch isn't currently active, but it
sounds serious. What do you do?: I'd unholster my stunstick,
turning it on, before approaching the source of the fistfight.
Once seen, I'd tell them both to face the wall so I could tie
them. I'd give them both 3 Ornery points for Assaulting
eachother, and then proceed to beat them both with my Baton for
committing a Level 3 crime.
During a random search of a suspicious citizen, he turns and
runs before you can tie him. You chase him for awhile until he
runs into Restricted Block Four. What do you do?: I'd radio in
that a man has just entered the Restricted Block, describing him
as best as I can, before returning to my duties.
While out and about, you hear a transmission on the radio from
Dispatch: "YOURTAGLINE-1, suspend 10-41 status. Proceed to High
Priority Region One for Revitalization Processing." How do you
respond?: I'd suspend my patroling duties, and head to High
Priority Region One in-order to recieve the Revitalization.
IC SECTION
Name: John Goodsprings
CID: #88876
Why do you wish to enlist in the Civil Protection?: In-order to
assist in the overall advancement of the UU and MPF forces.
Do you have any family? Explain: No Family Members are currently
Alive.
Have you any previous infractions with a Protection Team member
in the past? Explain. I have not had any Previous Infractions.
Do you understand that failure to effectively do your duty as a
Protection Team member puts your family at risk?: I understand.
I also understand that it will probably result in Off-World
relocation of me.
I, John Goodsprings, swear my life into the Civil Protection in
service of my family and my species, and understand that failure
to effectively do my job will put my family's safety at risk,
and contrary-wise, efficiency will lead to their safety and
comfort.
