How Long have you rped in hl2rp?: About seven months now.
Have you ever roleplayed as a vortigaunt? : I never truly
roleplayed as a vortigaunt, but I did roleplay with the previous
Transcended and Grand Healer a lot, seeing how they rp'd certain
situations.
Reason For being an Enslaved Vortigaunt?: (Min 50 Words)
Vortigaunts are definitely the most interesting race in the all
of the Half Life Universe. In Half Life 1, they proved to be
dangerous foes, in Half Life 2, they prove to be better allies.
I have had an interest in them sense I first played Half Life
one way back when, and I feel that being able to roleplay as one
now, has been a wish of mine for a while.
RolePlay Example as an Enslaved Vortigaunt?: (Min 15 Lines)
*Tal Mulag would begin to sweep the plaza, looking over at the
officer on the stairs who commanded him to do so.
*Tal Mulag begins cleaning the blood from the alley wall, where
the officers recently reeducated a man.
*Tal Mulag would scrub the floors with a soapy brush, vigorously
trying to free the floors from the stains that riddle them.
*Tal Mulag tried to ignore the civilians trying to talk to them.
*Tal Mulag would say "They are always watching. Please leave
this one be."
*Tal Mulag would greet the other Vortigaunt, "Gallung."
*Tal Mulag tell's the officer, "This one cleaned the floors, and
the walls."
*Tal Mulag would wait in line, waiting for his rations.
*The Unit would finish handing out rations to the civlians,
before looking over towards Tal Mulag.
*The Unit would give him one ration, that would be crumpled up
and torn open.
*Tal Mulag would walk away with his bag sadly, seeing that they
are missing their food, but only having a drink. Hoping that he
will get food soon.
*Tal Mulag would go back to cleaning up the mess of rations that
the civilians left behind.
*Tal would begin speaking to a civilian who approached him.
"Greetings, human!"
*The Civilian and Tal would have a small conversation before a
unit would come by and break up the conversation.
*Tal would finish sweeping the plaza, then find another unit for
more orders.
Roleplay Example as a Free Vortigaunt? : (Min 15 lines)
*Tal Mulag would see the rebels that saved him, expressing his
emotions in a way that the humans cannot understand.
*Tal Mulag would try to use his powers, that he lost long ago.
*Tal Mulag would talk to their companions using their Native
tounge.
*Tal Mulag creates a small orb that lights up the sewers around
him.
*Tal Mulag would be brought to a rebellion, who has small cuts
all over their legs.
*Tal Mulag begins chanting in Vortigese, a small blue orb forums
in their hands.
*Tal Mulag would ask their more transcended kin to train in the
ways of healing.
*Tal Mulag's elders would begin teaching him in the ways of
healing.
*Together they would working with the Vortessence weaving the
muscles of a headcrab back together.
*A rebel female would come running up to both Vortigaunts, in a
panic, stating that her friend has been shot.
*Tal Mulag and their Elder would allow the rebel to bring her
friend.
*Tal Mulag would begin trying to help the man, who has been shot
through the right knee.
*Chanting in Vortigese, Tal, along with the Elder, would begin
healing the man, weaving together arteries and muscles.
*Tal would try hard, feeling the Elder repairing most of the
tissues.
*The man would feel warm after they are all done, being
extremely tired, but better.
*The Elder would praise Tal, for the work they did was very
strenuous on them.
Enslaved Vortigaunt Backstory. : (Min 100 words)
Tal Mulag was captured right after the Seven Hour war. Many of
his kin was executed by a firing squad. For reasons unknown to
Tal, he was spared, and forced into the shackles. From there on
he was ordered to clean City 17, day in and day out, he cleaned.
One day, an Anti-Citizen came out of the slums. Tal was getting
orders from a MPF unit, when suddenly, they were underfire. The
unit told him to run out as a distraction, or he would be shot
right where he stood. Tal followed the unit's orders, and the
Anti-Citizen followed him with his gun, but not firing seeing
that it was a Vortigaunt. While he was looking at the vort, the
unit peaked around the corner, and took out the Anti-Citizen
with a clean headshot. Tal thought he would be praised for
putting his life on the line for the unit, but was met with a
quick order to clean the body, or be beaten. Ever since that
day, Tal Mulag despised the MPF. For what they did to his kin
before, and what they did to him that same day.
