There has to be an answer [Lya, mid day, open]

The back corner of the library, usually fairly quiet and
deserted, looked as if a tornado had hit. Books were strewn
about, and a more disheveled than usual Lya wandered about,
picking them up in turn. Her eyes were dark, having gone from
their normal sapphire to a dark blue, her face was pale and
there were faint dark circles under her eyes. Clearly she had
been here long enough to not have slept. An exasperated groan
echo'd through the room as another book was tossed to the floor.
[i]"There has to be a reason, a way to fix things. But how am
I supposed to find it if I have no starting point! I don't know
what is wrong with me!......if anything." Her last words fell
quiet. Was there something wrong? Did she just hit a wall
where the scales had to tip one way or another? She didn't
remember her parents ever warning her of a tip in elemental
balance....but they had died so long ago. Was it all in her
head. As her mind and heart raced, the foreign darkness
continued to race through her body continuing its integration
and dominance in her system. A loud sigh escaped the girl as
she slammed another book shut and stuck her head in another.

"shhhhhh" whispered jestin with a smile. he was floating in the
air above lya "you'll wake the dead" he floated over to a nearby
seat and sat down "long night?" he pointed to the bags under her
eyes

Lya's eyes narrowed as he sushed her. [Color=blueviolet][I]"its
been empty in here till you got here. I fail to see how that is
the waking the dead."[/color] She sighed and looked up as he
pointed. [Color=blueviolet]"I guess you could say that.

She rested her head in her hands rubbing her temples lightly.
[i]"Just a little tense?" She gave a weak smile. [i]"I
probably could sleep, but I'm still okay. I just need to get
through...god I don't even know how many more books at this
point." She sighed looking at the literary wreakage around her.
Books on elements and balance sitting everywhere, many tossed
aside as she had failed to find anything she could trace.

inside.

She sighed as her forehead sank to the table. [i]"I.....am
looking for information on elemental balances." She shivered
involuntarily, her mind flashing back to her other self, still
able to see her hands covered in blood.

"Elemental Balances?" he scratched his head and looked at her
with confused crimson eyes.

She sighed and pushed her fingers through her hair. [i]"Yeah,
elemental balances. Like how elements play together......how
they keep each other in check. What to do if something is
off...." She trailed off sighing and digging through a nearby
book.

Jestin listened carefully, he flipped through another book and
nodded "classwork or personal?"
