Let's run a little test. [closed, deepest depths of the cavern]

In the deepest depths of the cave system, there was a small
cluster of cavernous rooms. The cavern was cold, though
tolerable as it was deep enough to pull some of the heat from
the earth below. Lit faintly by the light of several torches,
the flames reflections danced off the ice and crystal surfaces
in the cave. In the center of the cavern, totally out of place,
there was a power supply and an intricate computer system. A
single chair sat at the multi-screen set up, a keyboard set
directly in front of it.
In a circle there were 10 or so tables with restraints. In
stark comparison to the high tech central station, the tables
and restraints were marked with intricate runic designs, an old
magic aura surrounding the bulk of them. In the farthest tables
to the left there were two still figures. One was nothing but
bone, the tatters of clothing clung to the aged white bone. The
next one over held a young male, his skin a sickly white. His
eyes were open, and hallow, dark circles in his once living
flesh. There was a small trickle of caked blood coming from his
mouth.
In the darkness sat a small figure, black hood and cloak
covering their body and face. Clearly a creature of patience,
the figure sat and waited.

from the depths of one of the tunnels came Ankoru. he snaps his
fingers and darkness forms on two of the tables. as it
disappears lya and nathan takes its place

The small figure looked up as Ankoru entered. Without being
able to see the figures face, it was still possible to detect a
smirk on their lips. Violet eyes shined out from under the hood
as the two figured appeared on two of the tables. [i]"I see you
have brought me two specimins. This should give me something to
work with for a while."
The figure moved gracefully to the sides of the tables.
Touching the runic restraints, they glowed softly, and bound the
two to the table. [color=mediumpurple][i]"There will be a
small amount of preparation needed. Hopefully they wake up
before i complete the preparation. I would like to savor their
reactions."

"it seems I was lucky enough to come across two of the targets
at once......it is how they say.... two birds with one stone"
Ankoru answered with his cold emotionless voice "although I am
bound by circumstances to aid you and my.........master" he
said the word as if it was sickening to say "I do not find
pleasure nor comfort in what you do" his cold crimson eyes
almost glared at the small cloaked figure. Nathan lay there
quietly unconscious. dried blood still sits on his nose, eyes,
and mouth

The small figure nodded. [i]"It certainly was a fortuitous
situation to happen upon two of them at once. It allows me more
to work with." Ankoru could sense the figure smirking at his
distaste in his situation, as it went about making sure that all
the bindings were secure. Its eyes lingering on nathan's
situation, the figure carefully cleaned the blood from his face
before spinning to face Ankoru as it walked back to the computer
set up.
[i]"Whether you find comfort or pleasure in what transpires here
is none of my concern. You will continue doing what you are
told, and that is all that matters. Progress does not happen
when one is afraid to take the risk, to push the boundaries,
whether it be deemed acceptable or not. I am looking to make
progress, and such progress will require sacrifice." The deep
voice was cold and calculating as the figure's fingers flew
across the keyboard. Moments later a small chest appeared from
a symbol in the floor.

Lya shifted softly on the table, her eyes still closed. Slowly
coming out of her blacked out state she groaned softly.

those crimson eyes watched the cloaked figures every move with
loathing and hate burning behind them. even then his anger never
got the best of him, he stayed silent and watched on. Nathan
began to stir and soon his eyes began to open. ankoru quickly
flicked a finger and an eyepatch formed over nathans special eye

Opening the box, the hooded figure looked over the crystals held
within. Each was a different color, and deep in their color,
with a colored swirl of light housed within. Delicate fingers
traced over the crystals as the figure studied them, almost
calculating as they did. Feeling Ankoru's gaze and loathing the
figure smirked again.
At the sound of the two began to stir, the figure walked in
between their tables, watching them carefully. Touching one of
the runes on each of the table, a soft energy could be felt.
The energy would feel like it was keeping track of the two's
vitals. Silently the figure watched.

Lya's eyes opened slowly. Attempting to bring her hand up to
rub her eyes she found her arms bound down. Panic started to
settle as she looked around, and remembered what happened right
before she had blacked out.

nathan looked around the room in a small daze. as the energy was
felt he snapped to "w-where are we?"
