He sat down and nodded "Well for one she didn't kill her
parents, though she believes she did. Dia wasn't born into the
most accepting family, from what I know she was the only one who
had powers and abilities.

"Her parents didn't like that and thought she was a freak for
having powers, creating things out of nowhere, floating around
and I'm sure her shadow abilities were really the downfall. Most
of that could be well hidden, but like I said sometimes her
illusions become real, her wings for the first time she made
something a reality and that became hard to hide. According to
uncle Artem they couldn't handle it and Dias real
mother...killed herself." he explained and began absently making
snowflakes on his wrist. "Shot herself in front of Dia, telling
her she couldn't handle birthing someone unnatural. Her father
lasted a few months after that before hanging himself. When
mother decided she wanted to adopt another kid I was 11 and Dia
was around 9, very different from how she is today. Didn't
understand why anyone would want to adopt her."

He nodded "She still blames herself and doesn't believe anyone
when they otherwise. It's one of her main reasons to why she
doesn't make friends, or she does but she calls them victims
instead, or how she doesn't see love as a thing. She's got a
much better attitude then she did when we adopted her, but she
still has a long way to go, which is why I'm overprotective and
hesitant to her dating. I'd rather not see her fall for someone
only for it to turn out badly in the end..."

Chuckling he shook his head "I doubt that, but for now...I
guess...you can take her out on one date. Which I will chaperone
of course." he said and crossed his arms.

He rolled his eyes but patted the others head "Yea, yeah but
don't think I won't be keeping a close eye on you too. Hm I
should see if one of the others want to join me on tailing your
date." he said.
