Hearing Artemis's encouragement Mika pressed her fingers into
her temples fighting against losing herself.
[Color=thistle][I]"I told you I Won't!"[/I][/color] she screamed
at him. The stormy grey eyes of the child fell upon her father
in anger. [Color=thistle][I]"I will not be your pawn! I will
not be used to hurt those I care for!"[/I][/color]. The small
winged girl took a few steps towards her father giving off an
intense aura. A bow of light formed in her hands and she took
aim at the man.
"Foolish child you are destined to cause pain in one way or
another whether it be by my design or not. I believe you are
quite capable of it on your own." He smirked at the attack
ready girl. A tremor of hesitation spread through Mika's body,
clearly visible as her hands clenched the bow. Shaking her head
to try and clear the thoughts she let an arrow of light fly at
the vision of her father. The room around them shattered as the
light sank into the shadows, sending a jolt of pain through her.
The darkness of her shadows quickly took over the room again.
Sighing Mika, still in the body of her 5 year old self, sank
down to the floor and wrapped her arms around her knees.

"Would you like to fill me on what's been happening to you
before we continue. I don't want whatever is bothering you on
the outside world manifesting itself against you." he said,
taking a seat on the floor.

Mika stayed partially curled around her knees as she looked up
at Artemis in that child state. She sighed lightly as she ran
her fingers through her hair. [Color=thistle][I]"Shinji doesn't
know who I am anymore."[/I][/color]. Her voice was soft.
Artemis was one of the few who knew about her first dealings
with the underworld. [Color=thistle][I]"Remember that time we
almost has to go get Shinji from the underworld? Well a little
while after I was approached in my dreams by persophone again,
asking if I would venture down on my own will to bring back
another, not Shinji. A boy I knew from the orphanage, I was
given the opportunity to bring him back. Hunter has been
protecting me since the days at the orphanage, whether I knew it
or not. He's done so much for me, and I care about him more
that I can explain. I couldn't pass the chance to help him.
But the price was steep. To bring him back I had to be
completely erased from Shinjis life from his
memories."[/I][/color]
Brief images flashed through the shadows. The lament at the sea
where she had torn the dress as the waves swalloed it. A
showing of her hiding the ring away. A brief moment as the
grief had pressed down on her as she lie in her dorm. After a
few images flashed with hunter. The talk on the mountain when
he comforted her. The music they had danced too played softly.
[Color=thistle][I]"I try not to dwell on my life before, because
so much has changed. But I know I hurt him whether he remembers
it or not. His brother even tried to pay me for it, for putting
up with him and then doing something so cruel. Maybe I am meant
to hurt."[/I][/color]. She sighed softly before looking up.

He listened and watched the brief flashes of memories. "Listen
kiddo, as a person your always gonna hurt someone, sometimes on
purpose and sometimes not on purpose. That's just how it is when
you have feelings and such, the difference between hurting
people like a heartless monster and just being human is the fact
you feel guilt for what you've done. No matter how much Deiji
says your gonna hurt people always know it will never be on the
same level as he's hurt people." he explained, his tone serious
as he looked at her.
"For erasing the brats memories, well what's done has been done,
you can't change the past so you need to accept that you've done
this and either find a way to fix it or move on." he laid out on
the floor and rolled over to her, sitting back up he ruffled her
hair. "Always know you can never truly erase a person, the
imprint, the feelings, the dejavu will always be there. Love
always has a way of gravitating itself back. So you can either
move on with another guy, or forge a new path with the man you
love and make new memories with him. Trust me, the brat would be
angry for what you did but there always be forgiveness." he
said, thinking back to when Freya erased Yukios memories to
protect him. "And sometimes the trials and errors and mistakes
makes for a stronger bond." he added.

Mika sighed listening to Artemis. She managed a smile when he
said she wasn't a monster. It was something that always
weighted heavily on her mind. She looked up at him with a soft
smile as he ruffled her hair. "Thanks Artemis." she said
quietly. "I keep thinking I move on with something, but as soon
as I do something brings it back and throws it in my face. My
father showing back up. That made my year. I thought I was
past constantly worrying about him deciding to show up and use
me to hurt someone." She rolled her eyes and let her head rest
against her knees.
Looking back up at him she smiled. "I will try to keep that in
mind. I have been avoiding Shinji, afraid I would hurt him
again. I can't say that I regret bringing Hunter back, I care
for him. He's always been there protecting me, even when he was
a wraith. I know how he feels for me." She smiled thinking
about it. "I guess I need to stop beating myself up over the
past. I can't change it. I need to accept it and move
forward."

He nodded, "Exactly now, you ready to tackle some more memories.
I think now you'll need me a little less than you did before."
he said with a grin.

Mika nodded "I think I can handle them better now. Thank you."
She stood up and looked into the darkness. She felt fairly at
ease, as she projected the next memory. This time they were in
the middle of a mountanous woods. She stood there holding her
doll, as she looked up at a fairly worn down looking building.
The sound of children could be heard inside. Deji looked down
at her as she was pushed towards the door. "I have no more use
for you, so this will be your home. You are and always will be
a freak and a monster." Without a word he turned and
disappeared. The little Mika looked at where he went and shook
her head. "I am not. I am me, and what you think doesn't mean
anything." She back to the orphanage to see a small boy with a
teddie bear watching her, before she walked in through the doors
to the orphanage.

He smiled, arms crossed he was happy to see her handeling
herself well. He stayed ready in case she did need him.

As she entered the Orphanage the scene shifted, becoming almost
a compliation of her years in the orphanage. The young winged
girl was pushed and shoved by the other children. She was left
alone and mocked while others laughed and played. In one
instant her eyes flashed that ice blue and she attacked another
child, injuring him. The scene flashed to her solitary
confinement room. During the time she was locked in that room a
younger version of Miyako manifested herself to Mika, and the
two played.
The whole time a young boy stood distant from the others
watching, and always doing what he could to help Mika, bringing
her food when she was in confinement. During this time Mika
stood strong, never letting the children's teasing and pushing
get to her. She pulled herself back up each time and smiled at
them, before moving moving forward.
