Delving further into studies [early december, open, afternoon]

Mika was curled up in the back of the library. A whole stack of
books on the table next to her, several being on Greek
mythology. She had wanted to continue to read about them after
a few things that had happened. A smile was on her face as she
read quietly. It looked like the young woman could be there for
hours. Falling back into her quiet ways from the orphanage, she
sat by herself. She had brought a blanket to keep wrapped
around her, knowing how long she would be there.

"Enjoying?" Kurei chuckles quietly as he walk from around the
corner, looking at the books that is piled up. He was wearing
dark black jeans and black shoes, with a white shirt and
grey-blue jackets, his black wings is folded little bit so it
doesn't get in the doorway and such, he smiles at Mika, noticing
her smiles too.

Mika looked up at the sound of a voice, slightly startled. She
shifted lightly, her wings tucked behind her under the blanket.
She smiled lightly marking the page she was on. "Yeah I was
just reading some things. I used to spend most of my free time
reading, at least in the times I remember." She said quietly.
She shook her head softly and looked up at him, "What are you
doing here."

Kurei scratch his head in nervous and sit down across him.
"Nothing much really... Ketiak told me there would be a library
so I came here, wondering what kind of books there are, and
maybe score some horror stories. It be interesting if there a
book about me, at least about my species, hehe." He laughs at
the last parts, he pull one of the book from the pile and files
through pages while his wings stretches out and rests on his
back and ground, almost like it covering his backside for warmth
or something.

Mika noticed the nerves, and tilted her head lightly. She
laughed lightly as he pulled a book from her stack. "There are
tons of books in the library here. There is certainly the
chance for finding something about your species." She sighed
softly, "I might have another blanket in my bag if you want to
borrow it. I come prepared for long reading sessions."

Kurei nodded and started looking on the books. "Peoples think I
might be angel or a bird species due to my wings, but it none of
that." He explains little bit about the differences between his
and other species. "I can't use magics, and the blades on my
back shows that I not an fallen angel or such." He frown when he
keep looking. "A winged boy with blades, that what i trying to
find at least..." he mutters, loud enough for Mika to hear.

Mika nodded and watched Kurei carefully. She would admit she
had never met anyone else like him. Not that she could say she
had tons of experience. Her past was, well foggy at best. "So
a winged boy with blades, I haven't read anything in this stack,
but I can definitely keep my eyes open." She pointed to the
shorter of her two stacks of books.

Kurei grin and sit down, one of his blades appear in air and it
brushes Mika's arm, surprisely it actually soft compare to what
it was during the battle with Miyako, with the black lines from
the blades' botton to somewhere on his back. "All I know is I
ran away from a lab from who knows where. Those damn humans
scientists were experimenting on me, using my blades as a test,
even starving me sometime when i disobey or so, treating me so
poorly, torturing me like no goods, testing my abilities, even
tried to cut my wings or my blades' lines off! God it was
painful when they keep trying... they even attempted to inject
angel and a demon's bloods or any monsters in my blood vein!
Your father might be the same person who was in charge of the
experiments that was dealt on me, he remind me of that person
you two talks about, that guy... is really cruel... he even
attempted to put a chip in my brain so i would obey him, they
even thinks about making me as a killing machine due to my
blades and my wings. I only manage to ran away after I went
berserk when that guy injected me with a unfamiliar
substances... I killed many scientists and destroyed the lab
partly. The guy who was in charge of me was smiling evilly...
almost as if he planned this, I afraid that I would berserk
again, I found out that my true form after the berserk, I was a
monster, my wing grew bigger and sharper, similar to adult
phoenix's wing's size. The blades split into 18 blades and they
were filled with my bloods, almost like it poison. Luckily i
kept most of my human appearances, aside from my right hand
becoming claw and i grew sharp fangs, my eyes became of
vampire's eyes, becoming yellows with split pupil."
He calms down and his wings cover him softly, comforting him
little bit as he resume. "So after the berserk, I accidently
stepped into a magic circle, and teleport to the forest, that
where i found Rika as a baby and saved her from demon lords. It
took me back again and so i had to survived on my own through
harsh world once again for few years. I appeared when she was
attack by bandits at age 7, though i tried to protect her from a
curse that was inflict her, it forced me to become berserk once
again, I attacked her home and killed many peoples, including
her adoptive parents. I was ashamed so i forced myself to go
back and go in deep sleep. i heard her voice, thinking that it
was the right times to come out, well... you know the rest,
since in order for my sealed state to unlock, I was require to
kiss her to break it, since I had to used her magic circle to go
in deep sleep in the first place." He finish as he look down in
one of book he brought. He chuckles and count softly. "I think
I'm 16 or 17... I don't know my birthday though, been in that
lab since i was 2, so i don't remember my family either, times
wasn't on my mind. That why I sorta bonded to you and Miyako
after learning what happens to you in earlier life." he smiles
at the last part softly.

Mika listened to Kurei's whole story, so much of it sounded
familiar to her own. "I can't imagine everything you've been
through, but I can relate. I feel like we've traveled similar
paths."
She sighed, "The man who calls himself my father's name is Deji.
What I remember from my time with him comes and goes in pieces.
I know the dark and light blood in me was incompatible. I was
the light and Miyako was the dark. I was awake when it was done
to me, I felt the intense pain of the separation. Every time he
experimented on me I was awake. I still wake up feeling the
scalpel digging into me. He still haunts my dreams. I think I
was with him for a few years, maybe from when i was 3 to 5. I
am 17 now."
She paused for a second. "When he found me here, he told me I
was always fragile. He had spent all of my time with him
instilling such a fear in me, amplified by something he left in
my mind, that whenever he chose it I was at his complete
command. I've hurt and killed people under his orders, with no
ability to stop myself. He still could, its that unshakable
fear that controlled me. When he decided i wasn't good enough,
wasn't perfect enough that's when he left me at the orphanage.
He left me with his last words being calling me a freak. Who
could want a little freak. I think the trauma coupled with
living in an orphanage as a freak with wings left most of my
memories fuzzy at best. For years I thought Miyako was nothing
more than an imaginary friend, who came out after I tried to
beat up children who hurt me." She shrugged lightly.
Looking at him with a sad smile, "Most anything I have found out
has come since I came here. It just comes in waves. So I
understand looking for your past." She gave him a knowing look.
She truly did understand.

Kurei's head jerked up, looking at her when she said her father
name, he bury his heads in his arms. "Deji... that the man who
was in charge of the experiments on me, he was my legal
guardian, and the sole responsibles. He mention about having a
daughter, I didn't believe since how could a cruel man like him
could have one, guess that was truth. I remember him calling
himself my guardian and that he was responsible for my
experiments and tests. I think that was when i was 5, likely
after he left you at orphanages?" He grunt softly as the blades
jerked away from Mika and disappear in air, his wings shaken
little bit as one of his hand hold on to his head. "Damn... I
guess i wasn't aware of that huh..." His head raised up and his
eyes was vampire's eyes. "W-w-where is that human... WHERE IS
HE!!!" He yelled and hold his head down.
"Dammmmmmmn! My vampire side is waking up, the thirst for human
bloods, the blood he couldn't get since the vampire blood was
injected in me by that man years ago. He rolled back and forthe,
struggings. "Don't. Wake. Up! Dammit! Ahhh!!!" He scream as his
hold himself down, trying to fight the urges for blood. "He
tested the vampire blood he gotten and used it on me for funs,
hoping it would give me the strength and speed, it worked, but
the side effect was the blood thirst, he sealed my vampire side
afterwards, if i hear his name, it will wake up... Just like
his other experiments, he doesn't care if i healthy or not, as
long as I'm useful, he got what he wanted, that what he get. He
think it didn't matters to put me under his control since my
berserk pleases him enough, but he was caution enough to put me
under his controls, he haven't given me a order since i left the
lab before he could test it. DAMN!" He cursed little bit as he
stayed down, restraining himself as he look at Mika, feelin the
urges for her blood or, he tries to resist but it failing
slowly.
