Chasing after a different sky [11/21, afternoon, open]

Mika quietly walked along the mountain trail. Lost in thought,
as she often was now a days. Humming lightly as she walked
along the straying near some of the larger boulders. The wind
rustled through her wings, causing her hair be tussled about.
Shivering slightly against the chilly breeze she pulled the coat
around her tighter.

*shinji stayed in the shadows. he had to see her face just once,
'everything i will be ok than' he keep telling hisself, the
voice in the back of his laughed, the voice know the was lying
but said nothing. Shinji was spending too much time as an
animal, he know that something was wrong whne that voice
appeared, telling him too be for animal like.. to find his
'Mate' most of the time he paid no mind the voice no mind but
this one time listen to the voice and followed this girl he know
nothing about.*

Mika wandered up the mountain like always. She stretched her
wings out to the side stretching them. Something inside her
wanting to take to the sky this afternoon. Singing softly she
neared the peak of the mountain. She turned slightly glancing
behind her down the mountain, before turning back making her way
higher. Her wings twitching slightly.

*shinij heart was pounding in his chest,'did she see me?' was
running thought his head atfer a minute, he looked from his
hiding spot and quitely sigh to hisself, he continued to follow.
his mind suddenly wonder what was he doing? following a girl...
no he was stalking her, Why because some voice in his head told
him too...yea he was totally sane but still... he found himself
enjoying this. she was his prey and he was the predator, he
shake his head No that was the animal in him talking no him, he
was studying her, sighing and running his finger though his
hair he thought to hisself 'that sounds no better*

She slowed her steps for a moment, thinking her had heard
something. She stopped and listened for a moment. Pulling a
shadow to her and letting it swirl around she tried to sense if
there was someone there. After a moment she shook her head,
figuring she was just paranoid. Loosing her wings she flew
softly over the trail as she flew about the sky heading up to
her favorite boulder. Enjoying the feel of the breeze today she
continued humming.

*shinji walked her, not making a sound, his eyes would not move,
she was beyond beautiful. he found hisself wanting too touch her
, too hold her, too kiss her, he did not move, He only watch.
the voice chuckled, but he paid it no mind, he wanted to walk
out and intoduce hisself but his body did not move, 'I..I seen
her face now ... i should leave' but still he stayed, his moment
he wanted to last forever but it wold not. So stayed and watched
her.*

Mika landed on her favorite boulder. Her wings twitching and
settling down against her back. The wind settling through her
feathers. She leaned back against the rock and sighed. She
pulled her violin out of a shadow, and let her fingers play
across the strings. A soft smile as she drew the bow across the
strings and began to play.

*Shinji heart skipped a beat as she the beautiful melody fulled
the air. He sighedand ran his his finger thoough his hair there
was no doubt to it now he was in love with a girl he know
nothing about... but itdidnt matter he was going to find
everything there is to know about this girl… butfornow he was
going to enjoy this moment.*

She played for a while, the melody was melancholy, somewhere
between dark and light. She was skilled with the instrument
that was clear, treating it with respect. As the melody finally
came to an end she sighed and leaned backwards. Sending the
violin back to where she had grabbed it from she stood and
stretched her arms to the air as her wings stretched out, before
folding back delicately against her back. She walked to the
edge of the mountain top, and stared off across the island.

*Shinji snapped his eyes open when the music, she was no more
than a few yards away from himhe started to panic and bumped
into a bush making it move he screamed in his head at the
blunder*
