Glad To Be Back (Open, Forest, light rain)

Miles swung through the forest, the rain pellets hitting his
face lightly. He felt so carefree. Nothing could ruin his mood.
He was back home. Alive. Alive. He laughed hysterically and
landed on a branch. He lay down on that branch, and stared at
the sky.

"That stupid..Mechi always leaving me. Ugh!" The voice of the
girl echoed softly through the forest. The words were
understandable but sounded distanted. The girl was heard but
could not be seen.

Miles heard the familiar voice, and jumped up. That familiar
voice. He thought he wouldn't hear it again. He chuckled and
yelled out.
"Megan!!!!" He said, looking over the branch.

A pixelize portal opened suddenly- like a television being
turned on for the first time. Megan walked out, took in
everything with one huge inhale. "Finally h--" she was abrutly
cut off by the unexpected shout of her name.
She looked upward to her dear friend Miles Parker shouting her
name from above. "Hey Spidey," she beamed "how ya been!?"

Miles jumped down from his branch, landing in front of her. He
had definitely changed since she last saw him.
"How have I been? Well, I fell in love with a goddess, went
deaf, forgot the love of my life, met Aphrodite, fell in love
again, dealt with Jealous fiancées, died, and now, I'm back
home... So all in all, I've been pretty good." He said with a
smile.
"How have you been, Megan?"

She felt sort of jealous of Miles. To her it sound like he had
an adventure! ..All Megan experienced was..well, longer hair
length and conseling with Mechi. "Eh ..I'm still same ol' Meg
but with much longer hair." She chuckled at herself and
shrugged.

It didn't look like she changed. Miles shook his head and
smiled.
"Sounds like you haven't had much of an adventure. Well... I've
had my share. This island has been crazy. I just hope that
things haven't died down... I need people to save. And Protect."

"Aww you so lucky!" She said with a impersonation of a chinese
man. Megan exhaled softly "Yeah this island is crazy. Yet I'm
attached to it..its like my second home, ya dig?" She looked at
Miles with her soft lavender colored eyes. "You have definetly
changed..mentally."

A contented sigh came from the 15 year old. He leaned against a
tree, fixing his glasses.
"After a person has been through what I've been through, they
tend to mature. Quicker than expected. I'm not complaining,
because if I didn't mature, a lot of things would have ended up
differently. This...This is my home. Well.. Second, so to speak.
Please, don't ask. It's too confusing." He said, his soft green
eyes ending on hers.

Megan gave Miles an understanding gesture. The girl leaned back
against the slighty moist tree and crossed her arms. "Conseling
with Mechi wasn't as bad I thought it was gonna be but it wasn't
easy either." She said as she kicked the soil around by her
feet.
