been gone for a while [jasper, 10/13, early night, open]

"jasper ran through the forest enjoying his time. the sun had
just set and the moon was taking its place. drenched in silver
moonlight the forest reminded jasper of a planet he went to long
ago. always covered in night, the only light came from the
always full moon. jasper jumped into a tree. jumping from branch
to branch, his tail helping him keep acrobatic balance. he
continued to think of that planet. its beauty, its people.
everything was of the highest quality. his thoughts quickly
turned from a wonderful memory to a dreaded nightmare. the
forest was now on fire and raging through it was the ferocious
green dragon that jasper used to be. the people fought as best
they could but to no avail. jasper missed the next branch and
fell to the ground. all around him was death and destruction.
jasper quickly wrapped his arms around his legs and wrapped his
tail around his body" go away..go away..go away..go away "
jasper repeated over and over, placing his hands over his ears
and closing his eyes."

Flying through the night sky, Mika had lost track of time and
where she was. Flying through the trees was soothing and she
didn't have to think very much. As she flew she heard a
familiar voice. She heard the pain in his voice. Landing
softly she called out against the darkness. "Jasper?"

convincing him that his nightmares are haunting him more"
go.........AWAY!! "he screamed to the tormenting memories"
GRAAAAAAAAAAH!! "he roared and growled his eyes were pupil less
and he bared his fangs, lashing out at his memory. fighting at
the giant dragon"

The tone of Jasper's voice took her by surprise. She had never
heard him like that. Worried she quickened her pace in his
direction. Making her way to him slowly and carefully she tried
to get into his field of vision. She didn't want to make him
anymore enraged, she spoke up again, focused on him in a
soothing tone. "It's me, Mika." She moved up to where he was
fighting determined to get through to him.

M-MIKA!! " jasper looked around but all he could see was the
memories" mika?...where are you.......WHERE IS SHE!! YOU
BASTARD!! "jaspers eyes shifted up into the sky. mika would not
see what he see. but it didn't lessen the fact that jasper
believed it real" WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER......TEEEEL ME!!
"jasper roared, releasing a concussive shockwave into the sky"
GRAAAAAAAH!!

Mika watched him shout to the sky and release a shockwave into
the air. Knowing he didn't seem to be able to see her she
moved quicker and closer. She raised her voice some, making
sure that he could hear her. She knew the look of being trapped
by thoughts and memories. "Jasper! I'm right here. Its okay."
She placed her hands on his shoulders. "I'm right here.
Whatever you're fighting, you're not alone."

Mika felt his tail smash into her, throwing her away from him
and into a tree. She felt herself slam into the tree and she
stifled a cry. She coughed slightly as she pulled herself back
to her feet. She ran around him, and stood directly in front of
him. This time she hugged him trying to get him to be able to
see through the nightmare world he was living in. "Jasper it's
me. He's not there. He never will be again. Its just you and
me."

"like a heavy mist the memory faded away slowly. his pupils
returned and his fangs receded, revealing the real world and
mika hugging him" m-mika? i thought he had you.....im happy your
safe "he hugged her back"

Mika smiled warmly as he hugged her back, wincing lightly from
crashing into the tree. "He didn't have me. I'm right here,
safe and sound." She watched him return more to normal. "I'm
glad you're okay. I heard you. I knew you were in pain. I
just wanted to make sure you were okay. I don't like it when
you're hurting."
