When I Said... [Kaya's House, open-ish]
By: Kaya Mitsume Date: October 10, 2012, 2:31 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
There were various materials, beads, flowers and other such
things spread out in one of the side rooms. Kaya sat,
embroidering a sheet of ivory. The small needle moved at a fast
pace, and it became fairly obvious that the girl has some skill
with a needle and thread.
She seemed to be sketching a very light streak of blue and green
over the fabric. She saw something in her head, and the creative
urging simple wouldn't leave until she fulfilled it.

Mika peeked her head through the door quietly. She watched Kaya
for a few minutes as she worked. She smiled softly knowing that
look. She was sure she often had a similar one when she was
working out a tune that swirled about in her head. Slowly she
knocked and entered, "I hope I'm not interrupting. What are you
working on?"

Kaya looked up, smiling softly at Mika. She lifted fabric and
embroidery skeins away from one of the chairs in the room,
setting it on a table. "No bother, at all. C'mon in. I could use
the company." She set needle to ivory length once more, looking
at Mika every once in awhile.
It took her a moment before she spoke, quietly and a little
hesitantly. "I didn't want to chance making you sad. I'm
preparing my gown for my wedding. I...wasn't sure if you would
want to be reminded of such things, in light of your own very
recent wounds.
I don't like to see you hurting. Hunter's been making it better.
I see you smile more often, now. But I still worry..." She said,
her blue green eyes meeting Mika's, shoulder shrugging slightly.

Mika took a quiet seat watching her work. She smiled watching
the needle dance. She had dabbled in embroidery, but although
she had stayed more towards garment contribution. Both were art
forms that were losing ground in the world. As Kaya spoke her
smile faltered slightly. Her grey eyes clouded slightly as she
leaned back. She still was trying to keep the feelings in
response to that wound hidden, but they still peeked out every
so often. It was had to completely cover up such a deep cut.
She sat in silence for a moment, sifting through her own
thoughts. She offered a quiet smile, "I appreciate the concern,
but it's okay. Its still hard to think about, but I'm trying to
move on. You and Hunter both help me a lot. I'm okay I think,
but thank you for worrying." It helped knowing someone cared.
She looked at the fabric again, glad to see someone working on
something for such a happy occasion. "It's really beautiful, and
I'm sure it will be absolutely stunning when its done."

A light kiss is felt on Kayas cheek. "It looks lovely" He says
with a smile, looking over her shoulder.

With needle halfway threaded through, Kaya paused, reaching out
her hand and squeezing Mika's. She tilted her head slightly,
brows furrowing. She hesitated again, before she spoke softly.
"You're one of the only girls that I've met that I've actually
built a friendship with. Will you be my Maid of Honor?"
The kiss on her cheek made her smile, as she reached her hand up
to tousle his silver hair. "Hey, koishii. Gonna keep the girls
company in their sewing circle?" She kissed his cheek lightly,
taking his hand and squeezing it.

Mika watched Kaya carefully as she spoke. She understood the
hesitation, but she let a light smile play across her face. She
squeezed her hand back lightly. "You have been there for me
every time I can think of. You are more than just a friend. If
you want me to be your Maid of Honor, I will gladly be part of
this. I would be honored to be your Maid of Honor."

Haro smiled and put his arms around Kaya. [b]"And I was starting
to think you'ld never ask her... wait... Maid of Honor? Im...
supposed to do something like that right? The um... hats it
called?"
