       She shuddered once, twice, three times. Her eyes came up to look
       at his, the red fading from their depths. Slowly, a more human
       Ely filled her eyes. And with it came a sense of shame. She
       moved back from above him, retreating, and moving to the end of
       the bed. She faced away from Gregor, her eyes closing. She shook
       now, head lowered.

       that was okay.
