A little White noise [10/29, just before midnight, open-ish]

Mika faded in out of a shadow and walked to the top of the
waterfall. It was peaceful here at night, and it was quiet.
She just needed a minute. A precious moment away from her room,
away from the memories. The moonlight danced across the water
below her. She silent and hidden between the rocks. She let
her feet rest in the water. The late season made the water
quite cold, but it was oddly refreshing to her. The drone of
the waterfall was soothing. Perfect white noise to block out
her own thoughts. She leaned against a rock lightly closing her
eyes. She wouldn't, couldn't stay long. She was still worried
about running into people, but after more than 2 days of not
venturing further than from her bed to her table, she had needed
a bit of fresh air.

After having been sitting by the waterfall for a little over an
hour Mika started to become stiff, and restless. She had been
out in the open for a while now. Something that never would
have used to bother her. However she still didn't want to go
back to her room. It was too much like a prison at this point.
Everything in it mocking her. She looked down at the pool below
the waterfall. Tying her hair back she dove down into the cold
water. Letting the cold seep into her she swam for about 20
minutes before her body decided that she needed to get out.
Dragging herself out, her clothes were drenched, but she didn't
really care. She looked up finding a suitable tree to move her
location to for another bit of time before she headed back. She
shook the water from her wings and gracefully flew up and
settled on a branch. The noise of the waterfall still soothing,
she watched the moon.
