"Matthew isn't with us anymore."
His face was cold as he spoke. He was that protective of her.

That tone. She forgot he had that tone inside him. Cold as a
Russian winter. "Hey, okay, sugar. You can put away the ice.
Just No Moon curiosity." She looked up at him, her brow
furrowed. She hated that voice. It just...wasn't the Gre she
knew. She came to her knees, climbing to perch in his lap. "No
growly faces. Didn't know it still bothered you so much." She
understood the need for the fights. She'd had her own instances
of it. But he held it so close to him. She let herself shift
into one of the cutest things she knew of. Wolf pup sat in his
lap instead of Ely, all fuzzy black body and big amber eyes. She
yipped at him, a little warble of sound.

Gre couldn't help but smile. He scratched the pup, behind the
ears. He always had a soft spy for wolf pups. He smiled and
kissed its forehead.

A pink tongue slurped his hand, and the little pup came to her
back feet, her front paws braced on his chest. She looked at
him, and then proceeded to cover his face in puppy kisses fairly
thoroughly. Her little tail wagged happily, though unlike an
actual pup, her sharp little puppy teeth were carefully
controlled.

Gregor laughed s the puppy left kisses on his face. It was too
adorable. He shifted into a wolf pup, auburn fur. He got into a
playful stance, then pounced.

The pup rolled with the pounce and gave a short yip. He ends up
on top, there was little doubt of that, but Ely's back feet
still can get him. She's just choosing not to. One of her front
paws batted at his face, as she playfully nipped at him.

Gre pawed at her face, licking it gently. He rest his head on
her stomach, nuzzling it.
"Have you told Elliott about our pack?"

She rolled to her side, squirming nearer, and licking his cheek.
"I haven't yet, but I plan to soon. Gotta make sure the pup
knows what's goin' on. Happenings around here have me worried
about him. He's not like us. Not as tough. Makes me twitchy."
She got to her feet, pouncing on him playfully, stretching her
puppy body out and licking his nose.

He wiggled his nose and looked at her, his puppy eyes gleaming.
"Good, I do not want family hurt." He said, smiling.

The pup gave a very human nod of her head, a yip of agreement
the sound she made, licking his face before she laid her head
down on his chest.
