Visions of A Blurred Future [8/21, closed]
By: Miles Parker Date: August 20, 2012, 11:47 pm

Miles had drifted into a deep sleep, and inside of his dreams,
he was in a house. In a bed. There was no one next to him, and
he seemed to be alone. He jolted, opening his eyes, not knowing
       where he was.

On the table beside the bed sat a picture. He and Kaya smiled
out from it. The bed was big enough for two people, but where
his wife, yes she was his wife, should have been was empty. That
side of the bed was cold. The house was quiet. There are other
       pictures around the room.

Miles looked at the picture, shaking his head. He was dreaming.
He had to be. He hopped out of the bed, walking into the
hallway. He looked around, Peking into one of the doors. It
seems to be outfitted for a girl, about three of four in age .
       He shook his head, confused.

Even as he padded about the house confused, it was almost as if
something in him recognized all of this. He knew where to find
the smallest thing. He knew these halls. He's walked them.
A vivid memory of watching Kaya walking with a colicky baby up
and down these halls surfaces. She's singing softly, a Greek
lullaby. The baby is starting to calm down, sniffling softly.
He pads down the hall, down the stairs, and is surrounded by
more pictures, including one of Aphrodite holding a child high.
That is undeniably his daughter. The home is artistic and warm.
Welcoming. Love had made itinto what it was.

Miles looks at the picture of the goddess holding the baby, his
daughter. He smiled and looked back up the stairs. "Charlotte is
sleep, don't want to wake up my little angel." He said softly.
He knew where he was. He wasn't confused anymore. This was his
home. It was definitely decorated by Kaya. He want good at
things like that. He rounded a corner, walking into the kitchen.

His little angel sits at the table, her little legs kicking.
She's carefully eating cereal, Honey Nut Cheerios, if the smell
was any guess. She has her hair pulled back in a ponytail,
obviously done by someone else's hand for how neat it is. "Hi,
Daddy! You came to see me again." She said, eyes sparkling.
There is little doubt that Kaya was here a little while ago. He
can smell her skin, her scent on the air.

Miles smiles softly at the child, picking her up and holding her
in his arms. "Hey, angel. I missed you."He said, kissing her
forehead. "Where did mommy go?" He asked, looking around the
       kitchen

The little girl shrugged before she kissed his cheek. "Mommy
just disappeared again. She said not to wake you up, and finish
my cereal. That you'd be downstairs in just a minute." The
little girl could do a fair mimic of her mother. It was
adorable. "You're other Daddy. You came back to see me. Why are
       you here, other Daddy?"

Miles sighed and looked at her. "Other Daddy?" He said,
obviously confused. He looked at the little girl. She was
adorable, looking mostly like her mother, except for her eyes
and nose. Those were his features.

She nodded her head emphatically. "You're Daddy from the other
place. You look just like my Daddy now, but you're different.
You always ask where Mommy is. And you always look so surprised.
Last time you drew a picture with me. Before that, you helped me
plant flowers for Mommy." This is one advanced four year old.
