Mika watched the scene. Her heart hurt knowing what he dreamed
of. "I'm sorry." she said looking down. "I didn't mean to pry.
I was just curious, since you had seen some of mine." She
watched his reaction. After all her dreams she hated to see
others suffer from theirs.

Mika knew that smile all too well. She caught his eyes. "Just
because you did something in your past doesn't mean it should
haunt your dreams." she said seriously. "It's not right to
punish who you are now. Also that smile doesn't work on me.
You know I've used that smile before, in similar situations."
She didn't like that he was suffering in his dreams, all while
he was trying to help her with her own darkness.

Mika sighed, "I didn't want you to hide from me. If you'd
rather smile, then I won't push. Just know your never alone."
She sat down next to where he lay wrapping her arms around her
knees.

its not that. its just "he removed his hands from his face and
tears were in his eyes" i've killed so many in my life. the
darkness may have been sealed away but these memories and dreams
will never leave me "his tears poured down his face"

Mika saw the tears. "Jasper..." she said quietly. She pulled
him up and wrapped an arm around him, giving him a shoulder if
he needed it. "You're not that person anymore. The memories
may remain, and lead to nightmares, but you are better than that
now." She knew first hand how nightmares could torment. "I
can't imagine being what you've been through, but remember I'm
always here if you need to talk, cry, or just sit with. I hate
it when nightmares hurt people. I can feel it in my soul when
those I care for are hurting." She wrapped a wing around him
for comfort.

Mika let Jasper have her shoulder as long as he needed it. She
sat there in the quiet simply being an ear if he chose to talk,
or just a comforting presence if that was what he wished.

have you around mika "jasper smiled still looking to the sky" i
wonder when i will dream a real dream instead of these constant
nightmares
