That face contorted into an expression of grief and horror,
grotesque in it's reactions. There were no words to describe the
pain in her eyes. "You don't remember me, my babygirl? They took
you so long ago, I'd hoped you wouldn't have forgotten me."
She reached out her hand, still coming unheedingly toward Freya,
trying to touch her hair, her shoulder, something. It had simply
been so long.

She slapped the hand away and placed her dagger in between them.
"Listen..." she trailed off not sure what to call the spirit,
shaking her head she backed up into a tree. "I'm not your kid,
you on the other hand are some type of creature on the island so
unless you wish to be killed I suggest you leave me be." she
threatened.

The threat seems to hurt the thing, making it recoil. It pulls
it's hand away, rage and confusion a swirling miasma in it's
maddened depths. [i]"Why do you treat me this way, daughter? Why
would you kill me? I've only missed you." Her pleas are
heartbreaking.[/i]

She bit her lip, "I...I'm sorry but I'm not your daughter.." she
said, feeling bad for the tormented spirit she lowered her
weapon.

She shook her head, disbelieving. "No, you're my little girl. I
know it. I searched and searched for you, and you've finally
come back!" She didn't approach. Her confusion held her back,
but it was beginning to also wear away what little grip on her
wolrd that she had.

"You must be a very tormented spirit" she muttered, rubbing her
eyes as she stepped away from the tree, "I am not your daughter,
I have my own mother so please return to wherever you came
from." she said softly.

The spirit blinked. Perhaps it was being called tormented.
Perhaps it was Freya trying to remind the spirit that she had
her own mother. But something reached inside of it, and pulled
the fury forth.
It a matter of moments, the twisted love that had been shining
from those eyes became hatred, deep and dark. [i]"You're not my
daughter. You have your own mother." She began to repeat this
again and again. The thing swayed on it's feet, slightly. Eyes
were locked onto something that wasn't there.
And then those eyes were on Freya. Dark malice aimed at her.
"You are not my daughter, and you have your own mother. But,
that woman will know what it is to lose a child." It leaped
toward Freya, hands gnarled claws, automatically swiping at her
face.[/i]

Freya dodged the swiping claw, glaring she easily created a ball
of fire and threw it at the spirit.

It spun out and away from the fireball, eyes beaming a
malevolent gaze her way. The bitterness had overcome the woman.
The disconnected grief raised a veil over everything but that
pain.
It swiped at her again, trying to take her weight downward.

She jumped out of the way, rolling into a crouched down position
she shot three more fireballs at the spirit and ran off into the
forest. "Damn it why the hell does this island have crazy
monsters all the time." she muttered.
