"They're caused by spirits that have frozen to death. Rather
than passing on they become obsessed, longing for warmth. They
stay on earth seeking out any kind of energy to create heat an a
small consecrated core, they're really toast and nice. They
usually lay within large trees, but every now an again you're
just out in the open. They're so warm and cozy!"

and smiling softly "I personally believe it's due to the fear of
death it's self. If you fear death so much, and you're dyeing in
the cold, you'll want all the heat you can get, right?" Izaya
looked over his shoulder at Haro "it's just from wishing really

bound to kaya when i die.." he spoke aloud, though he was
talking to himself. the concept gave some solice in mortality.
much better than being reincarnated and searching for her all
over again.
