She rested her chin on him. She smiled slightly. "Most of the
stories they tell now are a little strange. Are there any that
you're interested in knowing, now that you've met the Fates,
been kidnapped by a fanatic of Ares, and found out that Hera and
a few others likely want my ass?" She says it with humor, but
it's no less true.

"um... hm... as the enemy, can we start with ares?" he asked, a
seriousness in his voice. he clearly still plans on slaying the
god for even considering attacking his goddess.

She nodded her head. "Sure. Let's see. Ares is the God of War.
Son of Zeus and Hera. A petty man, even his parents hated him.
There's a push and pull between him and my mother. She is Love
and Beauty, he is her antithesis. They are terribly attracted to
one another, but can never reach harmony." She told him. She
could remember the fighting from the time when she had still
been with her mother. It made her shiver faintly.
"He's always wanted to claim her, and is so very angry that she
was gifted to Hephaestus as his wife. But, no matter how he
treats her, Mama won't stay away from him. He's beaten the hell
out of her in the past, but she always comes back. It's like
they're locked in some sort of doomed relationship." Kaya shook
her head.
"When he found out that Mama ws pregnant with me, he swore that
he'd kill me. Mama went to the Fates and made a deal. That's how
the curse got put on me. They hate my mother, but they had plans
for me. So they made sure I could never be my mother."

She laughed soflty, vaguely bitterly. "Ares has lackeys,
enemies, false friends and sycophants. That egotistical madman
couldn't have anything more. There aren't many stories that
centered entirely around him. He's not exactly a clever man,
after all. And his subtlety is seriously lacking." She said.
"What would you want to know about him? I told you my
experiences with the sonofabitch."

She answered without hesitation. "Overconfidence. His ego will
not let him believe that any manuever is too risky. He loves and
cares for nothing but himself, and that can be used against him.
He is not a clever or intelligent God. It wouldn't be hard to
outsmart or outwit him."

She knows that look and smiles slightly. "Who next, koishii? My
brain is yours to pick. I am a veritable fount of information,
especially on the deities. There's a list of those who want me
dead, and those who would protect me. Good thing is...I've got
Hades and the Fates on my side." She said shrugging.
