Nicola gave a huff that bordered on an unladylike snort, but she
couldn't seem to make that rude sound. Manners won out. "Fratele

She said succinctly, the peppermint tucked in her cheek.

Nicola finally broke the staredown between she and her husband.
She lifted their hands, kissing his lightly. "Milaya, I hope
that you do. It's a sign that you're both strong enough to
weather most anything." She left her words there. The young
would get older, and they'd understand.
She smiled slightly at Yukio. "Years do that. Communication
becomes effortless."
