She jumped when he yelped, and with little thought registering
as to why, she was automatically laying suddenly damp hands to
his back. They feel both damp and cool to his now scorched skin.
She has a vague snarl on her face. She didn't like something
hurting him.
She spat a curse in Greek, before her face softened greatly as
she looked at him. "Are you alright, koishii?"

haro let out a slight moan when the southing water touched him.
"y-yeah... i think so...." the flames left a mark she couldnt
easily remove. it centered on his left shoulder blade, leaving a
rune for fire. it was hot to the touch, as his skin often gets
when he turns red

The book had...branded him. Every arcane knowledgeable part of
her was shrieking in alarm, but it wasn't her way to panic.
"Koishii, you have something burned into your back. The sigil
for Fire. Does it hurt?" She rose up to move to inspect his back
closer. Her brows are furrowed unhappily. No, she really didn't
like him being hurt.
Little care is shown to the shirt as she opens it further to see
whether the brand has bubbled, or if there is anything she can
do for it. She then stood straight, peering at the shelf,
looking for exactly where and in what section it's fallen from.
(Survey says?)

"burned into... no, i dont feel it realy. just a wide burn thats
gone now." the brand glows a fiery red, and gives off heat, but
dows little more.
(theres no reason itd b there :P its way out of place. and well
get more on that tomaro. gnite)

Muttering in vaguely distressed and very confused Greek, the
little demi goddess is convinced she can do little for the burn
that isn't a burn any longer. The most the water child can do is
slide a cooling hand over the sigil. She doesn't like that it's
still putting off heat, or the fact that it's still glowing.
It's difficult to say what distresses her more. She looks down
at him, a vertical line furrowed between her brows. "Think you
can stand, koi?" She held out her hand to aid him. It might have
looked laughable, but he knew the truth of how strong she really
was.
As far as things went to breakup the moment? This one took the
cake. By a long way.

"yeah... ill be just fine, dont worry" he told her with a smile.

She doesn't look convinced. "Okay, baby. I'll try not to worry."
She muttered the last portion of her sentence. "Unlikely." She
looked down at the ashes of the book. "I don't know, but I'm
going to find out." Her hand reaches out, settling itself into
the ash.
Just as her form had done, now so she did with her mind. She
reached for the threads of impression, of history. Of the books
purpose and meaning. Everything had a purpose, especially books.
What was it, what was it? And why did it do that?
((Feel free to narrate this for me. She'll get the purpose of
the book, the information it was meant to impart, possibly any
strong emotional ties this book has connected to it. And if the
book had any sentience, best believe she'll know that too.))

the book is one of kitsune. a specific sect based in one
element. fire. it possessed much information on the species,
including its supposed extinction. theres a foreign ink in the
ashes, someone had drawn or written something inside it. it has
a curse on it that attracts it to one of the supposed dead
species, but it wasnt put into the book by its creator. the mark
is ment to draw flame to focus and amp their flame abilitys
