Kaya was nodding her head. "Yes, now take these things to a
bigger ideal. All of those are singular reasons built around a
larger idea or emotion. What is that idea?" He was getting it,
closer and closer.

Kaya sighed. "I know that, koi. But what idea or emotion makes
you feel that way. What makes you wish to protect me, see me
safe, take care of me, try and do something potentially
dangerous for me? Risk life and limb for me to be alive and
happy?" She asked him. The words she'd enunciated had a
significance.

A smile broke over her face. "Yes, exactly that. That love makes
you seek for more power, more strength to see that you're able
to protect what you love. Love is a very powerful motivator.
Perhaps even enough to turn a curse into something to help him
protect that most powerful of weapons. Love makes much, good and
ill, possible." She said softly.
She was a being that knew that lesson exceedingly well. There
was little doubt of it. Her kinda had learned how to inspire it
in someone. They knew well it could be a weapon. Simply look at
the war over Helen. Proof enough.
It was then that the demon decided to speak up. "I do not know
that I can love. But I know I wish no harm to come to the little
siren. I do like to see her smile. I want to protect what I feel
is ours. Because she is ours. You bound her to us both." He
said, looking at the wall across from him.
He heaved a sigh. "Continuing to fight is just going to waste
more time, and keep strength from your hands. I'll behave if I
get a taste of that light." He pointed with his hand toward
Kaya. "I'll relax into this integration plan you both have."

a taste of the light? that was haros first thought. what did
that mean? was it back to blood, or a glimpse was it simply to
see her through haros eyes... haro didnt speak, instead just
turning attention to her for an answer

Kaya's eyes snapped to the demon, and she seemed to focus all
her intent on him. The demon itself looked at her, unbothered by
what it knew she was doing. Her eyebrow rose.
"He's speaking of being able to see me, feel me, through you.
It's the only way he could handle my light, from what he says.
The integration will make two one. Together, you won't be so
overly affected by dark and light. No more than most would be.
He says it will balance both of you. But he also wants to know
what you expect from this. Because he won't be subjugated. And
once the two are one, it will be an equal balance of his desires
and yours, more tempered and such." Kaya reported. She didn't
answer the implicit question yet. She wanted all the details
ironed out before she opened that can of worms.
